Snow Kubota B2789 rear vs. BX2750 front blowers

First year with my front BX2750D blower, sure beats the bucket. I do miss the bucket sometimes but I can do the same job compared to last year in about half the time. I'm not one for driving in reverse all the time.

it was $800 to add the hyd cylinder to kubota snow blower, and $1000 to add rear tractor hydr to plug it in, and included a lever to control it.
check which blower did you get for $1793? thanks

I had both a Puma 54" rear blower and now the 2750 front blower. As far as switching from summer to winter mode the 3 pt is much quicker than the 2750. Going forward is much easier then backing up. If I had to do it again I think the Puma would be fine given how little snow we have gotten EXCEPT the last 2 years. What ever you choose you got to get a cab, nothing like blowing snow in total comfort nice and warm and DRY! The first time you blow into the wind and get a face full of snow you will know what I mean.

I know what you mean about a face full of show, which is why I wear a face-shield when blowing snow. It's the same face-shield I use when cutting on a table saw.
Works great for blowing snow and doesn't fog up.

Yea but when the snow gets to your seat and melts, you have a cold butt.....not fun at all....LOL

You got that right ... grew tired of the frozen butt syndrome a few years back..Nothing better than blowing snow in a heated tractor cab, dressed in a flannel shirt (winter coat on the hanger) and listening to the tunes on the radio. Makes winter almost likeable..

Another option to consider is a rear pull-type. If you frequently need to change the chute direction a hydraulic rotator is a big advantage.

Yes being cold and wet on a tractor is no fun which is why in addition to a face shield I wear a balaclava, rain jacket and rain pants (with warm layers beneath) plus mittens with wool liners. No doubt a cozy cab would be sweet but I don't see one in my future so I make it work with what I have. I researched aftermarket cabs for the BX22 and they all looked like mickey mouse setups, complicated to mount and remove, and not worth the price.

My first cab was a golf cart cover for $100 over a frame I made up from plywood and tubing. My Sims cab can be installed in about 20 mins by myself. It comes off in the spring back on in the fall. I am sure if you search my name you will find photos from 12 years ago on the golf cart project.....

I have had both types and currently have a front mount. I live in a snow belt. Here, a dusting of snow is 6 inches, and I will blow snow 20 or more times a year. The front mount is more than capable of handling any snow load. The biggest advantage is not having to face backwards, a big disadvantage is not having the loader.
