Do the knives look like any of these.
Cup & Scoop Knifes

Lundell is still in business, just a different line now. A member on another site says he bought replacement knives from them a few years ago. It's worth a call to see if parts are available.

Here is a closer picture than I had in the OP, it shows they are very much a 'T' shape.

Almost looks like sickle sections welded onto bar stock.

If you can get new knives/hammer knives you should be sitting pretty after you change the
gearbox oil and grease the bearings-no more than 6 pumps in the rotor bearings-the part
the knives hang on and 3-5 pumps in the other bearings every 8 hours of operation.

When you buy it I will welcome you as the newest member of the Flail Mower Nation.

GE914-P - $3.43 : Hard Hitter, Wear Parts With Muscle

These blades are 7 3/16 long and 3/16 thick. You could run two on each hanger (total of 3/8 inch thickness and two blades is normal for this type blade) and I think it would work out. I haven't found a "T" type blade like are on the machine now.

Hmm, wonder what size your mounting holes are.

My friend bought it, I'll pass along your welcome and advice. He's pretty good with machines so I believe it is in good hands.

Those might work. Right now it has 1/2" grade 8 bolts with a 1/4" bushing around it and holes in the blades are 1"

We are thinking somebody might have made these blades, the mounting tabs are 7/8" apart and there are no washers on the sides to keep them centered. It would be nice to find some pictures of other units made by Lundell, but so far no luck in finding any.

Just a quick progress update.

Bolts to hold the blades turned out to be 9/16" once we got them out and measured properly. All new bolts were ordered, grade 8, with lock nuts and washers.

New blades have been ordered, ended up going with sideslicers that match the size very well from cleancutter. Old 'T' blades are going away.

I'm supposed to go over this weekend to work on it, getting it ready for all the parts coming in next week.
