I agree, I'm not sure why people are always chastised for responding to old threads.

Yep, plus it never ceases to amaze me how much info can be gotten from these threads.

Yes, tons of great info - both old & new posts. Using search by model or impliment is helpful. Nice to see comments from Nuru - I purchased used mmm from him last summer - works great!

I also find it amusing that Nuru & I had 41xx Deeres and now are both using the 3xxx series :)
I am taking credit for having mine first though [don't know that I deserve the credit, but I am taking it anyway] ;)

LOL!, that's great, yooper68, I was hoping to hear how that worked for you. I got great service out of that MMM, it was very dependable and sturdy. I hope you and the family are doing well.

Forestcreature, apparently this is a new account for you, what happened to your old account? Yep we both migrated to 3xxx series. BTW, how long have you had yours?

Yeah, I have been a little lax on posting as I have been a bit busy, but I love the info on this site and the discussions that continually go on.

Yeah, I forgot my password, and had changed email [ISP] providers so I couldn't resurrect my "-1" account, so just made a new one.
I bought a 3032e last spring, traded it in for a CAB this Oct. I am now doing row crop work with it, in the past I was just doing mowing/road work/land scape. [for the group, no- R4 tires are NOT your optimum row crop configuration... but I am too lazy (cheap) to swap back and forth]

I agree R4 tires are not ideal for field work but nothing is perfect for all uses. Switching between landscape jobs, grading and tilling, traveling over rocky ground the R4 tires work out well enough. I am definitely too lazy to switch out tires.

I had the same thing happen about 2 years ago and I initially had another account, then I remembered my password and then resurrected my original account.

Newbie here, hi everyone :)

I need to get a technical service manual for the 3720 on paper for a friend. TM2365 is the actual manual but where would I find it for a good deal? Did quite for few searches online but didn't come up with much.

Hi I have bought 3 JD machines 2 of which were new from a JD dealer. I would get hold of the folks who sold the machine to your friend. If no luck I would bite the bullet and order one from the dealer, not too likely you or he will find an after market owners manual. Bottom line if someone is not going to make some profit on an aftermarket what ever, then you end up dealing with the dealer. Good thing with the dealer, or manufacture you get the complete and accurate information.

Another way to look at this is to compare the final price of each model # in the series of tractor you are looking at 3000 or 4000 or what ever series. Take the HP divide that HP into final price. What I found when I bought was that I paid less per HP with the 3720 than the other 3 models in this series. I have also found that if the rear wheels spin then it is time to engage the 4x4 you will have a hard time spinning wheels now. I do a lot of loader work and It's just automatic for me to engage the 4x4. I have a backhoe on the machine that is on there for all the loader work, I need the weight for traction and balance. It is 900 pounds back there, I have factory cab and I still want to get the rear wheels loaded, I have a 19 KW generator which runs off rear PTO which if running to full capacity needs 34 HP, Wood chipper same HP needed for the wood size I can chip. Water pump 150 gallons per minute all these need the HP of the 3720. We all have our own needs for the equipment we buy, do your home work before you buy anything, there are so many options of what the machine will be used for. My only mistake back in 2007 was I bought an open station 3720, I now have a 2013 3720 with cab...sure wish I had done a better job with the home work...Mom always told me to do it....I put 1100 hours on the open station and now have 400 on the cab machine...Yes sure is nice in the cab for so many reasons..
