Dodged a bullet here, or more likely about five inches of snow. Snow line is about thirty miles West of here, along the coast the temps stuck right at 32 and will be going to 35 today. Kinda wonder if there will be a layer of ice on things. looks like this storm might blow out to sea before it gets too far North but North of Rocky Mount NC into Virginia, snowing constantly.
which makes one wonder, what's next??????
Spring.
think positively...
30 out this AM with moderate snow falling. Looks to be over an inch already. Driveway is covered. Calling for 1-6 inches in this area. More south and east of us.

9.1F and snowing @ 06:50 ... headed into the deep freeze tonight ...
They are talking about 40's mid next week tho' ...
22 days left until Spring ...
Got woken up @ 05:30 when the kat came totally unglued over some animal at the basement family room sliding glass door.
Got one side of the wedge milled yesterday ... really bad chattering due to crappy mounting but it's probably close enough to clean up with a flap disc. Need to figure out a more secure way to clamp it down. Pineridge got the log lift pivot pins turned on the lathe for the caps.
I turned in early ... back was hurtin' from standing and I was really whipped for some reason.
Should try to clear off the driveway today ... but with the high only predicted to be 12F I dunno if that will happen.
20 this morning and headed to 35 today. Still have about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. It's getting pretty nasty. Turning all brown and black. But if it doesn't melt today then it won't till the weekend.
Have to go see if water trough for the cows finished thawing. The heater quite during that cold spell. I got it open then left a heater in it to finish it. Didn't get rat bait out yesterday do that's a must do today.
Coffee has been poured. 54° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 74° with lots of sun. Going to a RV show today. Leaving money and credit cards at home.
Good Morning All.
29 and snowing - got 6 inches so far on top of about an inch left on the ground. Should get above freezing later today - 35.
Swept off the bird feeders and refilled them, and took a hike up to the road - not plowed yet and few tracks, all covered with snow...never heard a car or truck while I was outside for an hour...smart neighbors...but the newspaper had been delivered...I'm about to drop my subscription after 30 years of subscribing...I'll miss it, and the morning ritual of going to fetch it.
