All that beautiful wood interior and your putting up drywall? :confused3: hugs, Brandi

Trying to keep it to a bare minimum. Ceiling in spare bedroom and the downstairs bath to hide pipes and wiring.
One wall in kitchen (common wall between bath & kitchen). Laundry room, two walls in bath, and one wall in downstairs bedroom. And that pony wall upstairs.
NO LOGS will be covered.
If I had the time I would come up with something creative on some walls like the laundry, but once again I'm pushing a deadline of April 15, so it's easier and quicker to do a couple interior stud walls with drywall - for now! That upstairs pony wall could well be stripped and redone next summer.

That's crazy. If something off-plan fails to meet code, that's one thing but going from code enforcement to plan **** is something else. That guy/county is out of control and needs to be reined in.

Way back at start of this saga. I mentioned to Bo that was asked to install a light in Seligman airport building so those entering the building would not walk into the prop of a airplane parked . The inspection was turned down because did not use a factory offset but bent conduit to handy box. Not surprised that the inspector required this change after all may be the only job he was to do in past year. This is rural ranch country ken

They totally discourage owner-builder. They want it done quickly by a contracting company. Easier for them. Who cares about the individual?

Actually I think it is that other theory - where "they" don't want people building out in the country. They prefer building to be done in the cities, where "they" have more control. It has a name but I can't remember it right now.

We got hit with a snow storm today. I left around noon and there was about 6 inches. Now it's at least 12. I left two amigos there to do drywall and they have never seen snow before. They are starting to freak out. I can't get back for 3 days so I hope they calm down. 😊

I can hardly imagine a person that hasn't seen snow before!

Your place is looking really good, Bo

That's possible. Some towns in southern Maine put a very low limit on the number of new home building permits they will issue in one year as an anti-sprawl measure.

The bedroom wall, closet and ceiling.

I still need to have my screw inspection before tape and mud.
