How's everyone doing with the SNOW

I got an Allied Farm King 66" Snow Blower. It works well, going to get a chance tomorrow to use it. Manual chute rotation, now I need to remember to disengage the PTO before getting off the seat. IMG_1123.jpg

One thing (among several) that I miss from my ex-Grand L is that "PTO" indicator light on the dash. Not to mention the PTO speed, as well. Sigh.

We escaped another storm, only got a dusting on this last one. I was expecting 3-6" and some rain. Where's my happy dance? :D

WaxMan,
Have I been gone so long that you have a new tractor?
Weather in NE Ohio, has set low records this year, -24 was the lowest. Thank goodness it has a heated cab. Makes my plowing fun.
Here is my BX25D doing it's job at night, -13 degrees. Almost 2 years old now.

Only got 1/1/2" of 2 to 4 inches :) but still enough for quick plowing...least there more day at the end of the day.

Jetman, I love your lighting set up! You can probably be seen from the Space Station at night. How many watts do you have going there? I will soon have 108 watts, and I guess I will need to dismount and take a photo, just for comparison purposes.

I have a Blizzard 74 made by RAD (formerly Bervac) Similar to a Pronovost of the same size and of comparable quality. Hydraulic chute rotation and manual spout adjustment which I never move. I use it when the banks get high, not every year. used it more this year than probably the last 5 combined. I'm sure I'll never wear it out.
I have the same unit. Bought it this past summer well used and went through the entire thing (new pretty much everything). Cleaned and repainted the whole thing as well as re-decal'ed it with Kubota stuff  (heck, they are the OEM for Kubota blowers anyway). Added hydraulic rotation and deflection as well as extension wings/drift cutters to widen it a bit and it has been amazing. I probably use the deflection as much as I do the rotation.
I love not having banks or piles anymore; it is also a much faster cleanup.

I want that. I don't actually need it, since the local contractor plows our place, but that must be fun!

Nice refurb....I may try some drift cutters like what you fab'd.
