How fast can you lose something??

Its when you lose something and you have sort of blamed your wife , that gets you in trouble, especcially when you then find it and you need to somehow make it look like it was in place that your wife left it..........
That didn't work out so well a few years ago , when my wife and I could not decide who had lost the cordless phone . We had a pair of them and one went missing, I assumed the wife had lost it. Six months later I am up on the roof fixing the flashing on a roof vent and I see the cordless phone sitting on top of the brick chimney where I had obviously left it when I was reparging the chimney. It had went thru one winter of snow and ice up there even.

It was too funny for me to try to blame it on the wife.................so I confessed. :ashamed:

Obviously Santa was using it the previous Christmas eve to check in with the elves and mistakenly left it in his pocket. As he rose from the chimney it fell out, fortunately remaining there until you found it. Now you're a hero, and only a little embarrassed you didn't find it sooner. After all, kinda hard to hear the ringer up on the roof when you tried to use the handset location feature, huh? :confused2:

I've lost so many gloves -especially for my left hand- that I'm almost ready to attach them together with fishing line, running it through my coat like yarn on a kid's mittens.

If you find gloves or sunglasses hanging in a tree anyplace between Maine and Pennsylvania it means that I was there... Much more permanent than lifting my leg like a dog.

I can't say how many times I've gone to get something which I've seen in the same place for a year only to find that it's disappeared; only to reappear in the exact same place as soon as I'm done needing it or have bought another one.

My best axe is someplace in back of my house, I know right where I put it and have only been searching for about 7years for it. My last dog was a bit of a klepto though, and it's entirely possible that she had it last.

I could write books on key stories, but I'll spare you and only share the one the Ford garage told me about getting a car in to get a flat tire fixed and finding that it had been mounted with a set of keys inside.

I learned early on SWMBO never lost, or will lose anything. She put it there on purpose and I forgot to tell her. I on the other hand get blamed for every lost item in the house, even if I was out of the country when it disappeared.

Yesterday I lost the headphones she has for her computer so I gave her mine. Coincidentally she had just done major cleanup of the area they were last seen in, but I lost them.

Getting out of the car I thought I dropped my glove in front of the seat. Reaching around I couldn't find it. I got out to look better and my wife asked what I was looking for. I told her my glove. She said - you have them both on!

I swear I spend half my life looking for something I just put down. Every project takes longer now than it did a few years ago because of the "where the heck did I put it down" syndrome.
