I was gonna say, most of them around here are pretty civil too. Now they will fight if you give them a ration of chit, but treat them respectfully and most of them around here will treat you respectfully. I am not saying there isn't a bad apple in the bunch once in a while, but my dealings with them have been cordial. Maybe things are different elsewhere.

I have no respect for most cops at all. They are out of control, especially in this era of police forces becoming more militarized!

Funny how they could care less about someone violating your space, yet get in their face or put your hand in or on their cruiser and you will find a combat boot on your neck and a glock pointed at your head while you are being screamed at!

GARBAGE! No better then those they are supposed to protect us from.

Until you need a police officer.Maybe you should walk a mile in there shoes? Remember respect is earned not given.

I did kind of misread the post. I read Cops Won't help!

Cops in Canada are seriously over paid. And don't give me that danger thing. I have known cops who would just love to get into a fire fight!

Absolutely agree about respect being earned. That goes for elders too in my book. You could say that not all cops are bad, but why don't the good ones rat the bad ones out? That doesn't make the good ones any better then the bad ones.

I can't think of any situation where I would call a cop in an emergency, except afterwards. Cops around here don't even get out of their cruisers when responding to a burglary! Funy how they get out when they want to ticket you for not wearing a seat belt though! Some priorities!

What an outrageous generalization and bigoted comment. Perhaps you need to look inward and reflect on why policemen treat you as you suggest. I would assume any authority at all is problematic for you. Where I live, the police are respectful and courteous, until you become disrespectful to them. They are the wall that separate and buffer those of us who obey laws from those who don't. They are under so much scrutiny from the public intent on criticizing them, yet they put themselves in situations daily that are dangerous, stressful, and require split second decisions,only to be judged by arm chair quarterbacks like you. Your comment is disgusting.

Glad I don't live where you live. Police in my state are the most respectful people you will meet. I have seen them put up with a lot more crap than I would from people. Walk a mile before you judge.
