Will you be able to see the ball from the tractor seat?

For my machine, I went with the highest mounted receiver on the strongest plate that I could find.

"Will you be able to see the ball from the tractor seat?"[/FONT

I had looked at that unit, but price scared me away and my tractor can't lift what it can handle. I.E overkill. However I sure do wish I had the tools you have....I am jealous.

As for seeing the ball I think so, but if not I can get the Titan modified. I do have a 24" drop hitch that I can used in the raised position. They always seem to have one on Ebay for auction. I just need to figure out how to bid correctly. Neighbor said ignore until the last minute. I had been putting in a max bid, that someone always seem to top. Any bidding suggestions?

I always use max bid, that way you can't get outbid at the last second, unless a higher max bid is entered.

Well folks - scratch the idea of using this. 3point will hot handle the 1230lb dry tong weight of trailer. (trailer is heavier than I thought per the PJ factory)

I need to get a quick attach loader one for the front to move the trailer around the barn, and use the truck to drive around to pick up. Should work OK that way too.

Thanks for the input.

That confirmed my suspicion after looking at tractordata.com! Glad to hear you caught it though!

Standard square bales in the 55 to 65 lb range

Tractor has a 3pt lift capacity of 1100lbs@24" beyond lift point,
which is 24" beyond where the lift arms are tied to the lower links, correct? As the adapter goes at that point I should have a lift capacity or 1030 lbs roughly accounting for the weight of the unit.

My tow capacity is 3,300 lbs. I should be fine if I stay under 50 bales.

What brand is your tractor?

If it is Bobcat, TractorData.com Bobcat CT235 tractor information shows 1508 lbs.

And the 7TL Loader.

Most tractors have more lift at the 3 point, than on the loader.

Even still, 1500lbs is not alot of lift to try and handle a GN . That is more than likely the empty trailer pin weight.

My owners manual clearly lists 1100lb for the 3pt (page SPEC-6). Local Kubota dealer has a more expensive QA set up on their yard tractor and indicates it is much easier to push and stear to park trailers using the front set up.

As the hitch ball will be very close to the pin, I believe I have more lift with the loader. Empty pin weight per PJ is 1230 lbs. I was able to lift the unit with the bucket on, putting the GN in the bucket. No issue doing that and tractor was stable doing it. However I did not try and move the trailer.

If I can find a great by, I may get both as I also want to get a small platform to attach to the 3pt to put my old 25 gallon spray tank on. Every once in a while I run across one of those cargo ones for cars at a yard sale.

OP, I think you are going to quickly get over your head if you try and move this trailer with any load on it with your current machine. The 3pt is by far the best option with the most control. The FEL might be able to lift it, but that trailer sure has alot of leverage over your machine that way. If you are thinking of only moving on a flat (and I mean almost dead flat) area, I think you will be ok so long as you realize you are close to the edge and move slowly. However, if you put a load on this trailer or get on a hill, I think your going to end up in trouble. I would figure out a way to have some sort of brake controller to limit your exposure to the trailer getting away from you.

I understand and agree I am at the limit, just like running the Hesston 4550 baler.

Ground is fairly flat and wide open so room to maneuver. I am looking for this to park the trailer after use. If I can I would like to use it to move a partially loaded trailer into the barn. That area is dead level and a straight pull through. I do have a smaller wagon (800 lb utility one) to do chores with to, but the rear 3pt one would work for that. Being old I go slow too...learned that a long time ago.
