15F headed to upper 30's today with some clouds.

Yep, it's one of the two days each year I have to get the owner's manuals out to figure out how to set the time in our vehicles. I never remember how and it's usually not intuitive. There ought to be a law ...

Enjoy your Sunday.

Already up to 40 and going to 60!!!

Snow melting fast...but ground soggy.

Have a great Sunday!

"I have to get the owner's manuals out to figure out how to set the time in our vehicles"
Yep not like the old days when string on watch hung on heat/defrost slide or the 3 speed on the column shift. ;)

It's raining and mid 50s here. Rain predicted off and on for the next few days. We just had one of the pastures grubbed for mesquite, and we harrowed late yesterday. This shold be good for preparing the soil for reseeding and fertilizing. The other pasture is waking up from winter dormancy, and looking good.

14 and sunny with a high of 38 today.I am thinking the Snow on the Deck will melt off today.

/ Good morning!!!! #31,566
35 out, major melting underway. Suppose to be low 50's today. Driveway is starting to peek through. By today's end, it should be back.

Have a great day everyone.

Need to pour more coffee. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with sunny skies all day. Woke up this morning finding that I had over slept. Took awhile to figure out that clocks had gone on daylight savings time. Digital clocks are reset to AZ time. But still have a feeling that I lost a hour someplace. For those that do not know, AZ does not do Daylight Savings.
Good Morning All.

36 this morning and headed to 55 today. Nice day. This snow is really disappearing. Lost an hour of sleep last night and gain an hour of work time (daylight) today. Maybe things will go better today than yesterday with equipment. Back to chicken coops as birds arrive Friday. Then I can rest. Laughing:).

Bet we're mowing in 2-3 weeks. Then will need to fertilize pastures and hay land. Start spraying and then will be hay cutting season. Once that's done the year will be half gone. Oh were does time go?
Good day all.

50F headed for a high of 75F under clear skies and very light wind. Once again, chances for precipitation predicted later in the week are dropping.

Yep, it's one of the two days each year I have to get the owner's manuals out to figure out how to set the time in our vehicles. I never remember how and it's usually not intuitive. There ought to be a law ...

The clock in the old F250 is on the radio display, and setting it involves a totally non-intuitive series of button pushes I can never remember. A few years ago I got fed up and put a copy of the instructions from the owner's manual into the glove box with the registration papers so I don't have to go searching for it twice a year.

One down, who knows how many more to go.

Yes, there should be a law: One that banishes Daylight Savings Time!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, folks!

Good morning! 46˚ light rain.

To set clock on hour ahead on the Japanese vehicle:

1. on the adjustment stick (A-stick) below/behind the turn signal select the middle button and hold.
2. on the dash a menu will appear hit the arrow button on the A-stick scroll down two pages and then hit the select button when time is highlighted.
3. on the A-stick hit the set button and when the time date screen appears move the highlighted area to the hour.
4. on the A-stick touch, don't hold, the set button till a little up/down arrow appears next to the hour.
5. on the A-stick touch the up arrow once.
6. on the A-stick touch don't hold (or you will have to start all over) the set button
7. on the A-stick move the highlighted area to the "go back" button and touch select.

On the American vehicle:
1. hit the menu button
2. hit the up arrow

I don't care for it myself. Being retired, the time loses a lot of significance and it just becomes a nuisance.

I can see how it matters to people working and raising kids. That extra hour of daylight after work or school can be useful for some outdoor activities and yard maintenance.

It also matters where you fall geographically in a time zone. There is 45 minute difference in sunrise-set times between here and the Ohio-Indiana border which is roughly the western edge of EST. The maximum would be one hour difference of course.

The hot summer weather in most of Arizona means they probably want sundown and happy hour to come earlier.

63°F and 0 on rain gauge which has to be incorrect as it is raining as I type.

No plans given the weather

Be safe
Have a great day

Some of the biggest problems with Daylight savings time is around MI and IN. Eastern time zone has been moved all the way to middle of Lake Michigan. You can have daylight until after 10 pm on the west side of MI during the summer.

40F and partly sunny @ 14:15 ...

Just got back from the quarter wash a little bit ago ... took my Kubota pin-style QA down and cleaned it off so I can ship it to the buyer tomorrow.

Grabbed a shower and got cleaned up after that ... be heading up to the shop here in a few. Probably work on the log lift.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and productive Sunday.

In the 50's here today. First time the pellet stove has been off since sometime in January. Cleaned it out today, ready to fire it up when it cools off later.

I didn't realize the Hoosiers had been messing with the time zone again. I know they have a long and complicated time zone history. The state used to look like a checkerboard of zones. That was after they were running on God's Time--I think. All I know is that visiting there from Ohio meant you were never really sure what time it was.

38F today with afternoon shine. 17 tonight.

The Ford Sport Trac has an appointment tomorrow morning to get its $300 plastic radiator replaced with 4 hours of shop labor. The dealer finally decided that is where the slow coolant leak is. Not sure I want another Ford, probably not.

It got up to 65 and sunny today - let the wood stove finally go out after over 2 months of continuous burn - a record for us.

First crocus bloomed today.

Nearly all the snow melted.

It must be...

time for another cold spell and snow.
