I have my fronts set to 35 also, AK that's why I posted this thread. It struck me as odd that three paragraphs talk of not ballasting the machine and then they refer to the inflation "loaded". This had me scratching my head, almost like a woman wrote it(kidding of course).

Thanks,

I just check mine. I had 50 psi in the front and 50 in the rear!!!!!!!!!!!!! now I know why it road like a tank...

Yeeee Haaaa!! Better have your seat belt snugged up! Or maybe just have a rodeo bucking saddle!

I probably run 16psi in the rears. Sometimes when the tractors sitting alot (like now..) I'll put 20psi in the rears 'cause they seem to lose air after awhile. Hot - cold; cold - sorta warm (never gets what you might call hot up here) temp changes when it sits; I'm guessing.

The technical writers that prepare the manuals... Well, it's a miracle they're as accurate as they are!

The rear tires I have (galaxy) are rated for 25 psi max on the sidewall. Glad you caught that and no one was hurt.

I find the mechanical gauges hard to use on the low pressure applications. I use a inexpensive digital unit made my the folks that produce green tire slim.

The tire pressure was at 50 psi when I bough it two years ago so I just thought 50 was ok. (front and rear)

While were on the subject. What do you guys think of this tire gauge?

Amazon.com: Milton S506 Dual Head Inflator Gauge with 12" Air Hose: Automotive

I did a review of this (and the 0-60 version) on the GTT site, I simply LOVE these gauges. They are super accurate and well made.

Amazon.com: Joes Racing 32306 (0-30) PSI Tire Pressure Gauge: Automotive

I can't provide a link to my review since TBN blocks GTT like curse words.

Tire pressure vary's according to the load rating of the tire.

Just thought I would post some photos of before and after, notice how much of the tire makes contact with the ground.

Thanks to all for helping me with the tire pressure. And thanks GreatWhitehunter for starting this post!!!!!!!!!!!
Who knows how long I would have operated my tractor with the tires @ 50 psi
