Tractor Sizing Narrowed my decision down to a 2820D p/s and 2210D both with loaders

I agree great advice...thanks. I did look at the 2420D; also a great option... none available currently. Can anyone chime in on the reliability of the factory power steering? Will it be hard to repair/replace if I have trouble down the road since there are not many around? parts availability?

I have 0 complaints / problems with OEM PS after 10 yrs ?

I know i saw california tow his 240 on a TINY trailer behind the car, that looks like a scary ride to me!!
No no no! :D

It was the little YM186D that I bought home on a 2k trailer. (photo). 20 miles of quiet back-country roads, and a slow cautious pace like the pros use for an oversize special-permit load. Same thing for the first YM186D, the one without loader. TractorData says it weighs 1540 lbs.

For the YM240 I rented a U-haul auto carrier, to pull with the Isuzu Trooper I had back then. I wish I had a picture of that project.

What i wrote earlier that was deleted somehow when i quoted wrong was i have a 16 foot tandem car hauler dovetail. With just the tractor on its it is a bit comical and over kill. But if i bring it home the 3 hour trip like i do or move all implements to another site for a food plot or one day when i finially do side jobs. I want the big trailer.

I back my disk harrow on the trailer and drop it all the way to the front. Then i drop the box blade on and slide it to the side of the trailer and then pull my tractor on with the bushhog attached. The rear tires are either just on the flat portion or right at the top of the dove tail, but i am thinking the latter i just cant recall. I have to lower the BH onto my spare tire to keep the tailwheel and the mower jacked into the air cause if i let it down the lower deck allows the tail wheel to ride to low and hit the road on pulling into drives or big dips in the road. The tailwheel overhangs the rear about 2 feet. I figure with all the implements and trailer and ballest on the tractor i am in the 4-5k range. Its all my 30 year old half ton 4wd chevrolet wants thats for sure.

I have two fx28d tractors with factory p.s. no problems with either. I had another fx28d and the hyd cylinder leaked like crazy. a couple hours and $2.10 later it was fixed.

The 2820d is one of the nicest Yanmars ever made in my opinion.
