I don't know about this site this morning. I wake up and check the projects forum and there's a description of duck mating over there and I get here and it's insinuating pictures of bulbs.

Good morning everyone. 62F heading to 71F today. Waiting for the coffee to finish brewing so I can have a cup and then I'm gonna work on tearing some more old plaster and lathe out of one of the bedrooms.

Throwing the wood on my trailer so I can take it back to my old place where I'll store it until I need it for a wood stove later on.

If I get the trailer full of wood by tomorrow I may take it over to my old place and unload it.

Do your chickens have cell phones? When you said the phone stopped ringing--I guess you have temperature alarms in chicken houses that dial out?

Yea Dave you should see my phone bill.

I have computers in each barn. I can set parameters in each of them for different things. Power failures, temperatures, and ventilation. Last night was temperatures. I had them set up for warm weather ventilation and when it cooled off I didn't change it and the heaters started kicking their high limit switches. Was just going to burn some extra propane instead of messing with the air but that didn't work out.

Oh by the way Dave. They call a call center over around Drew. Then the call center calls me. But that should change next week. I have a new alarm system showing up. I don't know the details yet of it but I'll let you know what changes.

If your tiny panel was sold as a battery charger it should already have internally a series connected diode. Without the diode it would suck out current from the battery during the night.

Eric, here is a pic of my 12V and 6v (tiny silver) solar charger. The 12v I have had for a week and I do have a regulator for it that I been taking on and off to see the different charge rates and they are about the same at the end of the day. The regulator knocks the charge down coming in from 20,2v to 13.7v. It charged up the lawnmower battery from 11.9 to 12.2 the last week. However, in the evening, the battery drops down to 12.0. I'll have to experiment with it to see if I need to disconnect the 12v at night. The 6v battery is starting off at 6.2 and there has been no change after connected for 1/2 sunny day. The 6v instruction said it needed no regulator, the 12v instructions said it did need a regulator.

Does a regulator stop the drain or would that be in the panel?
