Somebody NOT ME paid $470 for it. So now everyone can tell prospective sellers "well I could have gotten a 91 inch new holland flail for $500"
Pretty good deal. Doubt it needs more than a days work and a few hundred in parts.

Better than that; A buyer could remind a seller of the very nature of auctions, i.e. nobody ELSE thought it was worth $470, only ONE buyer thought it was worth that much - the wisdom of the majority, etc.

On this auction the official bidding period ended then it went on bidding for 30 minutes, basically between 2 bidders. My best finds have been when the person posting the auction information is clueless and describes it wrong. Like this was termed a "New Holland North America Inc., Mdl: 918H,
Bush Hog," I stayed out of it because it might be a little big for my M4700 and it would cost me $100 to pick it up.

I just got a new to me ford 917, and ordered new blades from flailmaster. I went with the 2 piece blades for coarse cutting, but was wondering about staggering them. I don't think its set up properly now. It has 14 blades on each row. From what I am reading there should be 9 per row. Do I start out on the left side staggering them, then space each one on same row approx. 7 inches? This is a 60 inch cutter. Please excuse my ignorance on this machine. It sure seems like a well built machine. Thanks, Steve

Anyone know much about a Rhino RF60? I found one locally for $750. Are they good machines? Is there anything I need to check when I go see it?

I have no specific experience with that mower but Rhino is a very good brand generally. My Rhino RFM was great. Is it set up as a finish mower or rough cut?

Price sounds good and it appears to be in good shape. Real question is condition of rotor and bearings and what your intended use is.

Its setup for a fine cut. When i was looking at it, it had a slight bearing whine so he let me have it for $500.
Ill be using it to keep about 1 3/4 acres knocked down. I had been using my brush hog but it never looked like I wanted it to. Plus Ive wanted a flail for a long time! 😜
