That is some great engineering!

Thanks. I was really impressed as to how well the wooden forks actually worked in their "maiden voyage."

Putting that amount of weight so far away from the loader arms was certainly a risk, especially for bucket forks, and wooden construction.
The MMM and supporting pallet sat over 5 ft ahead of the front edge of the bucket-not even close to the loader pins.

They lifted right up, and then had to be driven a distance over snow covered dirt and tar roads (in that position-perpendicular to the bucket)
before being set down into the van.

The MMM is now in transit to it's new home in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Delivery is scheduled for today to a very nice
fellow TBN member.

My Titan forks are 48" x 4000 lb. rated but, at times I need to lift larger items so, bought a set of Titan 72" extensions. First use was to set newly re-painted diesel tank stand. The extensions worked well. Used some sections of old inner tube to protect paint.

In addition to moving all my attachments (stored on pallets) I move logs and firewood mostly. Glad to read some of the other uses on the thread, I will have to try some of them. These liquid tote cages are something new for me to carry firewood in.

I used the Northern Tool 1500 lb clamp on fork to take my 3'x6' trash pallet to the pickup point, 300 ft drive.

My trash pallet has two large containers on it, the Trash Truck comes by picks up the containers, dumps them and puts hem back on the pallet.

That is all so far it who knows where from here.

I do almost the exact same thing. I built a custom pallet to haul my trash to the road, about 800 ft and a steep hill with a 50 foot elevation change. Taking out the trash is easy year round with forks.

Another use for pallet forks.

100 gallon saddle tank with off road diesel.

Also use the forks to put it in the truck, to be refilled.

If you have windmills, they do need to have the oil checked at least once a year....

Holy crap. I'd have a little better "basket" to stand in, that's for DARN sure.

Reminds me of when I worked on steel beams in construction hundreds of feet in the air before the days of safety harnesses. You picked your fall onto another beam at every moment. That guy just needs to sit down. :D

Forklift forks are HEAVY! Tractor is a Kubota B2710 (27 hp). Using these forks on the FEL would sure cut into my load capacity. 0ne fork is quite a bit heavier than my 5-tine brushfork.

Aren't you worried about twisting your loader frame some day lifting to the side?

/ What do you do with your forks? #197
No not worried while there's no counterweight.

Well you do have a good brand and it is holding up well. There are some loader frames that would not stand much side lifting. I always square up in case I hit a hole on the same side with a load in the air, it can create tremendous torque on the frame.

I wouldn't actually "move" a load like that on un-even ground.

He just likes to lift one rear wheel off of the ground, look at his Avatar! :D

And this: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...tepped-off-almost-tipped-over.html?highlight=

With the loader up high and a $4,000 snowmobile that could have "shifted" the load, or other unknowns, ***that one*** wasn't fun.

I concluded (some days later) that the proper action would have been to add some rear weight to the tractor. For example a 4x4 jammed into the 3-point somehow, and hang a weight on it to bring that wheel down. THEN lower the loader.

All the dialogue was fun though! Also nobody mentioned that wrecking that danged 150HP snowmobile would be the most certain method to increase my "motorized safety quotient,,,," :D
