WOW This thread sure has been hijacked. It amazes me that people totally believe "science" that supports their position and totally ignore the "science" that doesn't. As someone with a degree in science, you really need to read it all. Both that which supports and refutes your hypothesis. There is VERY little real science done on issues which affect the public and businesses. It is largely funded by interests which would only fund if the results are in their interest.

One thing I have learned is it is important to look at the source of the data. If a study is done and their data is not open for all to evaluate, it's nearly meaningless. I find that many companies will not release their data. When they release their data, I would tend to believe the study a lot more. If they don't, I'd take it with as much value as someone that just likes to hold their opinion until proven otherwise and issue personal attacks the whole time.

I think we all know many of these hot topics which really are not clear. The studies are weak/flawed/biased... They remind me of clicks in HS. "Oh, how can you believe that... Jenny thinks that so you must like her."

You got that right, but yet those politically funded sources get quoted as truths all the time, over and over as in the example above.
