Don't forget that by transferring weight from the front to the rear you are lessening the effectiveness of the front wheel drive.... as with all things, there are trade-offs. ;)

That will affect steerting, but not overall traction. You'll just end up with more traction in the rear. If you have steering brakes that mitigates the steering issue. Additionally pulling the weight off the front axle is a VERY good thing if you are lifting stuff with a loader. The rear axle is simple & beefy. The front axle is much lighter & has the complex steering stuff. All of which is less sturdy & more costly than the rear axle. So putting more weight on the back to lessen the weight on the front axle is a good thing when dealing with a loader.
