Has anybody installed Carlisle AT101s on a Kubota ZD326 or equivalent?

The AT101s have a great reputation and I would have done it already but they are technically the wrong size at 24x12-12 while the stock tires are supposed to be (havent confirmed on my particular machine) 26x12-12.

Im concerned that the missing inch of ride height will screw up the deck moreso than anything. I dont know if I can adjust it out of the deck using the leveling adjustments or not?? I dont believe I can put a spacer between the axle and the body of the machine to make up the missing inch?

I could put some aggressive ATV tires on there, but the ATs are designed for a ZTR and have nice rounded shoulders to help with turf tearing so ideally Id prefer to stick with something designed for a ZTR. Dealer says he can get me some Carslile TruPowers in 26x12 12 but to me they are far to aggressive on the shoulders and would cut when turning.

My old Deere X540 had the HDAP tires and they were just as useless as the turfs on the ZTR. so I need something with a relatively open tread pattern that will self clean like either ATVs or the ATs. Open to suggestions.

Apparently Carlisle has a new tire called the WT300, but its supposed to be a light duty skid steer tire. Sort of like an industrial tread with more rounded shoulders. Might be a better choice? Available in 26x12 12

I had the exact Carslile AT101 (24-12-12) on my Scotts GT2554 garden tractor/mower. Because my mower was 2wd and I had some steep hills, I needed an aggressive tire. The AT101 was perfect. They were also replacing a factory turf in the size of 24-12-12 so they were a perfect match.

I can tell you they were very flat/square (not like the one pictured in your post). My guess is the one pictured is way over-inflated (not necessarily a bad thing, just saying). If you inflated the 24-12-12 like the one pictured, you could easily gain an inch or two out of them. Of course, you would be putting more pressure in the center of the track than evenly spread across the full width of the tire. Don't know if that would be an issue for you or not.

For me, they worked great. I will say however, they have limits. I could still spin-out in extreme situations. My guess is they would help with a zero-turn, but you still could lose control in a hill. The problem is you would achieve a greater slope before you lost control...

My new Husqvarna lawn mower has Carslile tires. I'm wondering how they'll do. This mower has a limited-slip differential, so I'm curious to see how the tires wear.

If your on a relatively dry lawn those turfs should serve you well. My problem is that my yard holds water and Im on a pretty good slope. And its clay underneath so one spin will fill the lugs. Im kind of a special case (heard that before :cool2:)

Limited slip should help a lot. On my old X540 I had a locking rear, it was great.

Thanks for the info. If the AT101s were the right size for my machine Id have them by now:thumbsup: Great tire, more agressive than turfs but not as agressive as full on R1s

I searched for info on those WT300's before making this thread, somehow that never came up in google. There is next to nothing on google about the Wt300 and either CUTS or ZTR as far as I can see. Dealer got back to me on the WT300 today, problem is if I ordered them theyd be a month coming! Price wasnt too out of line at $140ea including shipping.

Has anybody ever put the Kubota Bar tires off a BX on a zero turn? Im not sure because of the sharp corners on the tread. I think they would cut up a lawn pretty bad if they were drug across the grass in a tight turn? Price would likely be ok with them through whole goods though, Id imagine theyd only be about $100 and that would include a rim. On top of that I could swap them onto the BX if I was going to be in heavy mud...

I put another brand that looks exactly like the Carlisle AT101 on my ZTR and it made it a totally different machine. I now can hold the hill much better and I spin so much less. It does a little more damage when it does spin though. When wet they clean real well at normal inflation pressure. I have never seen them fill up even in pure mud. The mower does ride a little rougher though so I tend to run mine about as soft as I can. I will never go back to turfs.

Thats pretty much what everybody says about the AT101 style. What brand/model were yours?

Do you happen to know the actual installed height of the tires (assuming they are 24's). Carslile says the AT101s are "24" " diameter installed, but it usually isnt the case that the tire measures out exactly to size after installation. Im wracking my brain to try and find a way to make the Ats work! I got to measure the actual installed diameter on the stock OTR GrassMasters that are on my ZD
