Liking it again? I haven't liked it yet.

The wagon on the other hand is a nice piece. Not sure why the tailgate unlatched by itself but it did and out went the mud!

Fred

Dear Mr. The Fred,

My bad, I thought somewhere in the archives you had begun to like the machine, after the mods? At least enough that you were starting to use it and that became the norm vs. all mods, all the time?

Anyway, since you're waiting and wanting something to do with your sick skills in the bedroom annex, (read machine shop); why not make up some linear actuators for locking and unlocking the wagon's tailgate, so when you're spinning those R4s in the mud you can dump your load where it's stuck?!

And you could add hydraulic tilt too in case you can't reach Mach7 in place before launching into the field to tear it up too with that enormous piece of junk you call a tractor?!

Get with the program sir, we need nitros fueled, propane injected, flames shooting in the air racetrack dragster type entertainment. The turbo is so 2014's.....

Yeah! What he said.

My mods are based on things that improve my machine.

Turbo really helped and also the rear view camera. That's all I've done.

If I do anything more it would be larger cylinders on the FEL to get lift capacity up to 4 tons.

When lift capacity goes up, cycle speed goes downs... You gonna put on a higher flow pump to make up for that?:)

IMO the speed is way too fast now. The controls are twitchy and not user friendly compared to other tractors I have and have used. Read between the lines if you will; the FEL is just plain uncomfortable because it IS too fast. Slowing it down would only improve the operation. I get to jimmy-jamming ramrodding every dirt pile I try to move with this crappy designed FEL control. Yeah I know I could slow down and be more careful but one must work to make FEL movements smooth. FEL works better after 2 beers. It would be like the difference comparing a Honda Civic to a BMW.

My Brother's L3240 was that way too. They are available with 2 different FELs and his was the smaller one. Way too fast. Way too little capacity. Maybe an LA513 or something like that?

Richard you're the best.

You Really do know what you are talking about. :steeringwheel::steeringwheel::steeringwheel:

Only thing, I and believe Fred have the larger FEL - LA724 I got used to mine, but at first compared to my B3030 is was fast and jerky, it took me awhile but I'm very used to it now.
You just have to learn to feather the lever, the hissing sound is your friend. Course I have all the landing lights and stops but I'm good with it.

Consider it like this Mack, there is a right gear for every operation. Just don't use the fel if you need any power.:) Acutely I used the fel as a brake, if you going too fast hit the fel lever, you'll feel it slow down:cool: You got to work at it, part of the experience.

It's operating the tractor, not riding the tractor. I can't hate it , its all I have. So I learn to use it.
