58F. We had off and on rain this afternoon, maybe 0.15" total. Good chance of a bit more tomorrow. I hope we get it. Real (Maine
)summer temps arrive Wednesday with highs in low 80's and lows in mid-50's.
My green beans are up finally but I have to replant my cukes. Of three hills with three seeds each, only three sprouted and only one of those is still there. I saw a snowshoe hare hopping along the edge of the mowed yard tonight. I hope it doesn't like tender little bean leaves.
Made a grocery run this morning. Making chili in the crockpot tomorrow morning. Election duty tomorrow from 1:30 pm til about 9 pm for the school budget vote.
My Mom is progressing well with her therapy to get her arm going again. She will move back home tomorrow afternoon and she is ready to make her escape from the nursing home.
She will get home visits by a physical therapist for a while yet but she can dress, bathe, and do simple one-arm tasks now.
Speaking of escapes, those two prison escapees in Upstate NY sure got away with something. That metal they cut through looked to be at least 3/16". How do you cut that quietly enough to avoid detection? Something fishy about that besides whoever supplied the tools. Maybe Makita or Bosch can advertise cordless tools that "will get you out of any jam."
