I would second the air rifle....much better for shooting up in the air unless you have LOTS of space around you.

Part of the squirrel problem is our fault.. The mother in law that lives with us insists on year around bird feeding. <snip> But that is the crux of the matter.. Get rid of the bird feeding and we would get rid of the excess squirrels.

Or, get rid of the bird 'FEEDER', just saying...

The bird "feeder" went to live in assisted living back in December... problem solved.
