Agree with Eric. The HF/Stronghand table is not a second choice, it is a first choice for fabrication up to about 80 lbs. Easy to get at your work from all sides, multiple clamping possibilities, can be tilted to get a better angle on stuff, etc.

I didn't even think about the 'tilt/angle' part. Wish I had one. I need all the help I can get.

The HF table has a coupon for $59.99 right on their home page. Says its good until the end of the month.

I used my HF table to weld a 3pt hitch for my tractor. That tilt ability came in handy to do inside corner welds. I'm an inexperienced welder so I'll take every advantage in weld orientation I can get. Yeah the 6011 welds were ugly but they held. The lockdown nuts for the tilt have plastic handles over metal nuts. When those bust I'm going to weld some rod to the nuts. Everything else is robust enough for my smaller projects. A lot of HF stuff is junk, but this is worth $60.

I can see how you like tools by the way you did your tractor. You had 30-40 years to collect that stuff and you didn't have all that good stuff in the beginning. Just like me, you had to pick it up, restore it, inherit it, ect, just like me. I sold tools for a living and I still am buying tools like my used Miller DialArc 250 ($300 with wheels heh heh) which took a year of scrounging.

So if some guy wants a titling table for now and he's already spent on the welder, and it's gonna be that table or the floor, don't begrudge him the table. He'd need that to build the real deal anyway.

I bought the HF welding table, and it is worth the money. Is it perfect? no, but it is easily worth the money they want for it. There, now you have my opinion.
