Harbor Freight Welding Table on Sale - $59

It kind of amazes me what kind of junk people will buy as long as it's cheap. I bought this table at an auction. The top is 3/4" thick. 5'X5' The whole table weighs 6 or 700 lbs. I added the 3 point pins so I can haul it in and out of my garage easily. It's nice to be able to keep all the grinding dust and welding smoke out of the garage. If you want to do good work, buy good tools. I live less than a mile from Harbor Fright and never go in there.

Then go pay for the Stronghand original for 3x the price.

Why would I buy a "good tool" at a premium when I need it once a year maybe? Wasteful and unnecessary.

Good find. I always look at weight of the object in question to determine useability. A $59 welding table isn't going to weight much. Otherwise they would sell it for scrap iron.

Around here the scrap price is only about $50 ton. $59 would buy you a table over 2000#.

As someone who owns both the Stronghand and the HF, I'd never fork over 3x the price for another Stronghand. It is essentially identical in both design and construction and the plastic bits that might be a tad weaker on the HF can easily be replaced with bolts. The wheels on the Stronghand are next to useless.

I have no easy access to Harbor Freight, but for $59 I'd buy one just to have around.
