Best MIG for a $1000

When I first got my Lincoln V350-Pro with spool gun. I was playing with it to see what it could do. And record the settings. This is 16-GA aluminum. I got it welded, but I would much rather do this kind of work with Tig.

The spool gun for my TA 181i was under $300 whereas the Miller 30A with Wc24 controller for my other TA and Miller was close to $1500 MSRP.

Here's the Miller 30A spool gun. I still think the Nothern Tool Hobart Link I posted is worth considering.


That's a Miller Maxstar behind the spool gun. The controller is mounted lower on the cart. Terry

Here's a 1/8" mig weld. Can't even remember which spool gun or welder, so please don't ask me to recall the settings. Getting old sucks. I should think to document things like Shield Arc.

My daughter once pointed out to me that it was a good thing I didnt make too many 'perfect' welds as I'd waste too much time admiring them.
