Backhoe Small Trench Bucket for Kubota BX25

Here's the BroTek trencher with the ripper tooth. It worked great for me for putting in a power line to my garage. You said you'd never seen one so here it is! One thing I learned while trenching was to try to trench in one direction...you get a better/deeper trench. I tried going over the trench to clean it up but only succeeded in pushing the previous spoils back into the trench with the BX's rear tires. Some shovel cleanup was all that was needed to clear the trench but like I said, if you can go in one direction with your trench you get a nicer trench (with the BroTek unit)

What's the cost of the brotek?

Nice, I like the way he cut grooves for the inside plates,
then welded them on "the outside" ( as opposed to the inside) of the tooth for extra strength
and giving the inside a smoother surface.

Mowbizz, that BroTek trencher attachment looks like it did a good job for you. If I ever need to do any trenching, I'll probably buy one for my ripper. Thanks for the pics.

I use a L4400 w/BH92, and have a need for a very similar fang.

We could make a similar gadget in the shop here. I'd love to chat with TrenchKubota or his BIL; maybe he'll sell us a copy of his plans.

I will be needing to make some trenches and would appreciate a copy of the plans as well. I wish there was someone that had access to a plasma cutter and could supply the parts in a kit form. I can do all the fitting and welding just don't have access to the steel and cutting equipment like I use to.

The shop I hang out at in Hyattsville has a multi-axis robot with a plasma cutter, but I doubt it's viable to mail big chucks of steel around.

UPDATE:

Talked with my friend at the shop. (He's actually a sculptor who makes large art objects such as you see in front of a major building, or in the lobby.) He thinks that it may be easier to have his steel supplier cut the curved sides with their water saw, rather than doing it with Blutto & Solidworks.] The ME designer slotted the siderails so the bottom segments slip into it, then welded both the inside and outside; strong! But the saw would have to make those slots.

One issue is we need good measurements on the BH92's pin spacing and diameter. Also, I have no idea how wide the BH92's attachment point is vs. the BX25's. (It's on the opposite coast from me.) I was hoping Kubota had drawings of a bucket available but no joy. I'll have the owner take a bunch of pictures and make measurements.

I designed a Snaggle Tooth'd Bucket in AutoCAD and
I have reproducible plans to water-jet cut / cooki cutter cut them.

I have not tried my design in mud but it works GREAT
for many other tasks.

Can I reproduce it, yes, do I give away plans, no.
Understand one offs are spendy to make.

We rolled a piece of metal for the radius on this one, if asked for several
of these I would redesign w/ individual plates in lieu of the radius bend so as not
to have roll that part, that was tough...
