Kubota Quick Coupler

I'd still recommend the ATI (skidsteer style) over Kubota's proprietary quick connect, even if you sacrifice a few pounds.

I went with a universal SSQA from Washburn Hayspear. Pinned onto the LA 403 loader arms and works just fine. Adjustable to fit loaders with differing lift arm widths.
I had to take the bucket to a welder to have the factory brackets cut off and a QA plate welded to it, but that was the only inconvenience. Nice to drop the bucket and grab the Bradco forks and go.
The next project will be to somehow get a QA plate welded to the Tractor Supply boom pole instead of attaching it to the bucket. I use this to set 300+ pound rolls of aluminum coil onto my seamless gutter machine. Works nicely.

I run a Kubota B3300SU with ATI SS QA plate & ATI 54" QA bucket with bolt-on tooth bar. Release & drop the bucket takes less than 60 seconds. The ATI bucket does weigh a bit more than the factory Kubota bucket - but has rounded interior back (prevents material from sticking in hard corners). I dig brush, tree stumps, dirt, manure - no sign of tweaking the loader arms or problem with the ATI SS plate. The upgrade cost was around $3,000 on 3/1/2012 including shipping to local dealer (subtract $400 credit from Kubota with delete of their factory bucket).
Ted from Everything Attachments can sell you this equipment (for less $$ - if you have a commercial shipping address).

When I bought my B3200 recently - I talked to the dealer about going with the ATI SSQA and bucket. The price came in around $3k. The Kubota QA for the LA504 was something like $250. That made the choice pretty easy. The biggest disadvantages I see to the Kubota solution over the SSQA route are: 1) the Kubota QA pushes the attachment out a few inches, which is a reduction in capacity, and 2) the Kubota QA requires you to get out and screw with getting the lower pins in and out. They often stick - and I always have a mallet ready to beat them in or out if I need to.

For the difference in price between the Kubota QA and the ATI SSQA solution (approximately $2750) - I've made up the difference so far by buying the Kubota pallet fork frame ($650.00) , I will probably get another bucket and weld some teeth on just for digging ( 54" about $550.00 or so) - and I would like to get a root grapple bucket (probably about $1400) , and I have some steel coming to weld up a multi use device with a bunch of 2" receivers, hooks, loops, etc. - for moving trailers, pulling with ropes or chains, etc.

I like the concept of the SSQA better than the Kubota QA because it is more adaptable to more attachments - but after seriously weighing the two - I came to the conclusion that the massive cost differential just wasn't worth it. Also - the ATI implementation of the SSQA on the LA504 would likely lead to an even further degradation of lift capacity over the Kubota QA because it not only moves the bucket out further - it adds more weight.

I just found a Kubota QA coupler for $150 brand new, I was sitting in the dealer's yard for awhile, so the orange is faded. Just picked up the Kubota Orange today to freshen it up a bit before install. Still searching for the fork frame.

I have 3 attachments for my FEL. It wasn't hard to change them. But lining up the dump cylinders could be a chore at times. Talked to my dealer. He showed me a Quick Coupler that only requires a pin on each side of FEL to be removed to take Loader Bucket off and put Snow Blade or Loader Forks on.
I had to modify the loader pin brackets on the Snow Blade to make it fit the Quick Coupler.
I can now change between FEL attachments in about 5 minutes. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
If I could change 3PH attachments that quick I would have it made. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
Coupler will only work on Kubota attachments. All other attachments will need to be modified to fit the coupler, similar to my Curtis Snow Blade.
I have attached some pictures of Coupler being used on my Kubota 2910.

Ron,

I have been looking for the most economical method of mounting a set of forks and bucket in an interchangeable mode and despite a lot of talk about the Kubota Quick Coupler, dealers I have spoken to don't have or know where or how I can get a set of these. Could you or anyone else send me dealer info on a source for these?

Thank you!

I found that the dealers were sometimes less than helpful when looking for something that they didn't normally stock or sell. It's possible that the Kubota Pin-On quick coupler for the FEL is not being made any more - since they've converted over to the SSQA style quick connect on the larger B tractors.

What's the FEL model on your tractor ? I could look up whether there's a Pin-On quick connect available for that FEL model by looking in the Kubota parts manual. The other way to potentially get a quick connect for your tractor - is to adapt a pin-on QA from another tractor. Would need some measurements from your FEL to figure out if that would work though.

Jim, I have an LA352 Loader. And without a parts match, the arms are 39 inches wide, center to center, with 1" pins, 7 inches apart, and the U-mount on the bucket is 2 5/8 inches wide. It's my feeling that pretty much any part for a smaller unit with the correct pin spacing could be used by lengthening or shortening the crossbar.

Thanks!

The reason the dealer can't help is because they were not maded for the B7410, B7510, and the B7610.

No problem.

I took a look at the Kubota online parts catalog - and they don't have a quick attach listed for the LA352 loader.

There's still hope though - the LA504 loader that is on my B3200 - has the pin-on style QA available for it. The online parts manual lists it as either the " B1658 " part number - or as the " 7J055-36104 HITCH,QUICK ". A decent dealer should be able to look up one or both of these part numbers and get a price and availability.

With the dimensions you gave me - I can measure out the arms on my LA504 loader - and see if it's maybe possible to take the B1658 pin on QA from the LA504 - and adapt it somehow onto the LA352. It's sort of late right now - but I'll try to take a look at this tomorrow afternoon when I've got some daylight.

Just for clarification - when you say that the pins are " 7 inches apart " - is that a center to center measurement?
