I started my company out of desperation. I had no ability to hold a job, and still don't, due to mechanical problems with my nerve function in both hands combined with chronic neck pain. There's a lot of days I'd love to just work for someone else and collect a paycheck. Don't quit your day job! I didn't have that option. I was fired because I couldn't perform. Working for myself I can do things as I'm able, but my income isn't what it would be if I was still on someone else's payroll, at least not yet.![]()
Interesting bit of self-awareness / confession to the world!! THANK YOU for sharing this!! (I mean this! I'm not trying to be a smart-***.) I think a lot of self-employed people are "unemployable". I know that I am at this point. I've been self-employed for a little more than 24 years so far. I could have made more money with a "real job", but I've also had some experiences that a "real job" never would have let me have.
Maybe we should have TBN set up a "I want to start a business" forum and let us self-employed guys give advice.
