How do you like the Transit? I'm seeing those things everywhere (I guess that 2,376% shows!). The E-Series was in desperate need of replacement.
I have talked to several who have them and they like them. Saw one get stuck the other day (empty trying to go uphill on a slope that had a little bit of grass over mud with a driver who had a heavy foot. Not wet deep enough to get buried, but if you spun your wheels you had to back down the hill).

Too bad the AWD Transit didn't make it to this side of the pond.

Curious as to how the baby Power Stroke is doing in them. Ford seriously needs an updated diesel in them if they are going to try to play in that side of the market. The 3.2L is an old dog that needs replaced.

Well, at least it started out as a fun thread.
I always look at threads like this as a demonstration of why corporations spend so much on "Branding." Consumers who have internalized their value message have succumbed to the ultimate "Wallet Vacuum."
BMW, Ducati and HD motorcycles, pickup trucks, they're all trying to appeal to your emotions: it's more profitable.

BMW and HD motorcycles, Minis and Jeeps all have well below-average reliability: and all have above-average customer satisfaction. I've been trying to figure out how to "brand" our business ever since.

Definitely agree but I was referring more to the belligerent tones creeping into the discussion.

It is on par or surpassed the V8 engine. You are probably the same guy that made a stink out of the Buick Grand National having a Turbo V6 until it blew blew the doors off the Corvette. Or bought a new V8 muscle car to only be smoked by a 4 door BMW 335I, again a twin turbo V6. And yes, the Eco Boos will stomp gas truck V8 including the 6.0 and 6.2 GM, Dodge Hemi, Ford 6.2, Toyota 5.7, and Nissan 5.6. Chris
Minor correction, BMW 335i is a straight six, with twin scrolled turbo's. HS

It's fascinating to watch the marketing approaches. The new Chevy Colorado seems to be a brilliant idea, grabbing the slot that Dodge and Ford left and Toyota/Nissan have left stagnant. However, those ads showing the "sexy" urban guy driving the Colorado make me never want to set foot in one.

IF Ford sales are down, it might be because GM seems desperate to sell.

Just 2 days ago my nephew bought a 'well equipped' 2015 Chev Silverado, with a sticker price of $34k, for $24k.

He just kept saying 'nope, too much money', the sales guy followed him to his car as he was leaving and every time, nephew said, 'nope, too much money', and made to leave, the salesman kept coming down in price, as he leaned into nephew's car window.

Nephew said when he go to $24k, he figured he should probably take it.

Correction noted. Loved that car and really missed it. Too much fun blowing the doors off a "Muscle Car" with two car seats in the back.
