#10 wire won't be nearly big enough to get a 15 amp circuit at that distance.

THANK YOU for this! I'm going to have to run 1300 feet and if I've entered correctly, I need 500 MCM copper or 700 MC aluminum....now to see where I can purchase it INEXPENSIVELY!

For that long of a run, look at getting a pair of transformers to step the voltage up (to from 120v to 480v), then back down to 120v.
They will probably be a couple of hundred apiece, but for that long of a run they might be cheaper than heavier wire.

It's Canada, we don't bother with that wimpy 480V We use 600V.
