Post a pic of the spray rig and boots on facebook or such offering a reward, at the very least it might keep the slime looking over their shoulders, and hey you never know.

When they stole my brother-in-law's diesel truck, the police recovered it several weeks later. It had a bullydog tuner on it. B.I.L. said you couldn't hardly touch the throttle pedal without smoking the tires. You know they beat the snot out of it.
They didn't put but about 50 miles on the truck, total and it had 1500 pounds in the bed with the spray rig and fertilizer so it would've been tough for them to do much joyriding. There's a radar detector in my truck that isn't mine so I think they had a busy night ripping people off.

Adjuster just left, they're going to take care of it, including the spray rig. Contents are gone and under the deductible on my business policy but I'm going to come out OK on this.

A lot of time a truck will be stolen so that it can be used in some other crime (stealing a boat, some equipment etc). Any sign it was used to tow or move something?

No, there was less than 50 miles put on it. I'm not sure why it isn't starting, I ran a hot wire from the battery to the starter solenoid and it didn't turn over so I'm having it towed to the mechanic this afternoon. Hopefully I'll have it running and back in a week or so.

Well, financially made whole sure helps. :thumbsup: Doesn't account for your lost time and sentimental stuff, but it does help make it sting a bit less.

If the steering column was hacked up, maybe the truck thinks it is in gear so it won't fire it up? Just a thought.

When someone tried to get the aftermarket GPS/head unit out of my 2004 K1500, they had to move the gear shift lever down to get all the trim off. (Why they didn't just break the trim I'll never know). They forced the shift lever down far enough to get it in Neutral. The truck drifted across the driveway and half way to the house. (Dad, why is the truck sitting in the yard?)
I could not move the lever back up to Park, so the truck would not start.
It had to be winched onto the roll back.
The entire steering column had to be replaced.

When my dream car was stolen, the thief was caught but the car was trashed. The thief had his mother call me to see if I would return some items that the police had tossed into the car that were his. He wanted flip flops, a key ring with a huge number of keys,
, a shirt and *** MY *** very nice pair of heavy duty jumper cables. That %^&*()P)*(*^% had the gall to try to get me to return *** MY *** jumper cable to him. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to meet him to "return" my jumper cables but I knew it would only be his momma at the mall though I suspect he would have been nearby watching...Glad the OP got his truck back.
