New Max 26xl

18" Ordered it Tuesday from Ohio and it landed on my deck several hours ago. Very heavy built. Takes a few minutes to get the parts together in the correct order, but once you visualize it, it falls into place. Wanted to do it this weekend but the Honey Do List takes Priority........
Very fast service.
Thanks, Derrell. I wish I were able to attach this myself. Thank God I have a very competent mobile welding service.

I just got my 26xl last week and I'm having a blast. I almost went with the 24 and I'm so glad I didn't. After reading through this thread you guys have me wanting a backhoe now as well. I've put 10 hours on it so far by working the driveway with the box scraper, mowed one small pasture with the bushhog and reclaimed the paddock which had been abused for years.
I bought the package which included tractor, loader, 4' bush hog and 4' box scraper. I worked the driveway which is about 250yds long and I realized the 4' box scraper was ok but a 5'er would be that much better as the driveway is 10' wide. Talked to my dealer and he exchanged it for $71 difference which I thought was pretty cool of him since I had used it.
Looking forward to tackling a giant list of to do's in the very near future.

Hey what is everybody's opinions of the quick hitches? Seems like a time saver and would make it easier for the wife to swap attachments should she want to.

I'm pretty sure I paid 400 for my mech 3016 thumb from my dealer.
Pretty sure mine was about $400, too.

Welcome to the 26xl club, when I bought mine there wasn't much info to find about them. I don't know about quick hitches, I leave the backhoe on mostly. I did try a 6 ft. HEAVY Imco box blade with mine. It did ok, but I don't know how well it would have done with a full load of dirt. I used a 6ft Rhino brush hog with it and it worked pretty good with 1-2 ft tall field grass . I think the 5ft. implements are a better size for this tractor, so when I sold my big Massey 65 I let both the boxblade and brush hog go with it.(it was to a family member or I wouldn't have!) How is your 4 ft. brush hog working out? I was thinking if I get a rear cutter to get either a 5 ft. brush hog or a flail mower. Also thinking about getting a ratchet rake or piranha tooth bar.

Due to a bad back when I got my tractor, I knew I did not want to make it worse when changing 3 point implements. I bought Pat's Easy Hitch, and have never regretted it. Pats Easy Change 3 Point Hitch System

I had my dealer throw in the thumb as a "deal sweetener" he didn't have it at the time I took delivery of the tractor so I got it later and installed myself. (Took me ten min to install and that's only because my 3 yr old was helping me) mine is mechanical but find I almost never have to adjust it. I leave it in the fully open position and works awesome. I have the 26 and believe I was quoted just under four for it.

hello, newbie here, 1st post
just bought a brand new 2015 Mahindra max 26xl shuttle w/bh... put about 5 hrs on it fri and sat... ran great!
Sunday started it up and moved it up to where I'm working, when it shuts off... went to restart and nothing
after some troubleshooting and fuse checking, found the ETR solenoid had blown
I used 23 of a box of 25 fuses before it would start... called the dealership and they are going to send a tech down wed
tried it today and it ran perfectly for 3 hrs? no clue to what's going on... does anyone know what the wire the connects to the bottom of the seat is for? awful place for it with that swivel seat setup... thanks

There are a few details and some more serious shorcomings that Mitsibushi was asleep regarding designing these tractors. It is a shame as it is for the most part a good machine.

PS

Stay tuned for brutally honest 50 hour review is coming up, I have not quite 42 meter hours on the MAX28. Those are meter hours, as I usually run at 1500 Rpm or less, I bet I have more like 100 Hours.

I'll also post photos of my Max mods.

The next big job is hogging my 4 Acres of pasture that have not been done in over a year. (Except for the cows munch)

Also it is nice to have a Thumb, especially connected to an excavator.
