The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

It's just absurd that a manufacturer would claim that all you can use our grapple for is "light work".
Our 50" Single Lid Grapple is intended for up to 35hp Compact Tractors, but we know that it is in the field on much larger machines. No bending, no breaking, no bad reports.

Anyway, our manhood is not threatened. We've done our homework and know what we have, that's for sure. I just thought the comment was pretty funny and had to share!
Travis

I have been using my 50 inch single lid on my Kioti DK35se with loaded tires and 850 lb ballast on the 3pt, for some time now. And it is about twice the size and weight of of the little bobcat in Ted's demo video . I haven't torn it up or sprung it yet, and sure have moved a lot of big heavy rocks with it. The jaws still mate perfectly and Saturday I was using it all day to pick up limbs I cut off in my long driveway. when I finished I picked up some of the remaining twigs on the road with the grapple. Some were no larger than a pencil. Yes the jaws still meet perfectly.

I hit edit, then the plus symbol and then delete post. It asks if I am sure. I click yes and then the post just stays there.

Oh well!!! This thing is wicked cool!!!

This will be a serious time saver. My wife just laughs at me but I dig it!!! 👍

Glad it's serving you well. Your grapple shipped on 7/22/13, so I guess you've been using it about 2 years now.
You bought one of the first 10 that we sold....not the very first, but you WERE the first James to buy one.

Here's a new video from today that quickly highlights the changes on our NEW Version of the Wicked Grapple for Compact Tractors with 37" opening.

Ted basically goes over the changes in that video, so the most comprehensive video is still this original one:

wow, time flies when you are having fun.. with your grapple!.. I did not realize it had been that long. I have picked up rocks that are at the lift limits of my loader, and I have picked up pebbles with it. It was crucial to have when I staked a bunch of cedar logs up against a steep bank to hold back the mulch to stop erosion. It was so cool to place the log perfectly with the grapple, and still have a solid grip on it, and hop off and drill the log and stake it down with rebar. It was like having a giant "hand" to hold it still while I worked on it by myself.

OK, I'm officially jealous now. I want a 54" single top version 2. 37" opening is good and certainly adequate. I like the upgrade to 3/8" even though 5/16 has performed well. However, I need an excuse. My current 48" Millonzi works just fine even if it isn't nearly as pretty. I am particularly jealous of the beautiful lid you guys have developed. Best looking lid in the business.

I hope you guys increase the HP limit above 35 now. Realistically there is plenty of evidence from experience with light duty grapples from other grapple manufacturers showing that even something like an M59 can use a "light duty" narrow grapple successfully. Certainly there is no reason to restrict virtually ANY true CUT. My Kioti DK40se is as heavy as any CUT and has as strong a loader as any other CUT and I have successfully used my much less sophisticated 48" mild steel (3/8ths) grapple for many years. Still works the same as new even though it has some battle scars much the same as a ten year old bush hog will have battle scars even if working perfectly.

Of course to justify a new grapple I would need to somehow break my current grapple and that has been hard to do. After ten years of stumps, trees, brush, rocks and as much abuse as I can dish out with a heavy 40hp tractor the little "light duty" Millonzi is doing just fine. I once had to remove the lid and use heat to straighten a tine it after pulling a particularly massive granite boulder right out of the ground with the lid clamped on only one tine. That is about the extent of maintenance. Never greased it. It has no greasable pins (just 1" bolts).

But I do love the look and specs of your new version 2. It comes pretty darn close, in 54" single lid dress, to being the Platonic Ideal of Grapple in my book.
