Mowing How do I get the bush hog to operate on Yanmar 1500D?

Hi guys - Please help!!! I have a Yanmar 1500D with front-end loader and a bush hog. For some reason my bush hog has stopped working. The shaft isn't turning (not sure if shaft is the right terminology). It cranks, drives, loader and bush hog both raise and lower, but the shaft that operates the mower isn't turning. Anyone know which of the levers I need to adjust, and how do I adjust them to make this thing work? I've tried all of the combos I can think of and nothing seems to be working.

Welcome to the site... Make sure the pin that goes through the lever, and shaft is still intact ,and hasn't fallen out or broken.. I'm talking about the lever where you put the PTO in gear

You are putting the PTO in gear, are you not?

Thank you...I'll double check the pin in the morning. I don't think that's it. I think I'm just not remembering how to put it (the bush hog itself) in gear. And I apologize...I don't know the proper terminology. I do know how to put the tractor itself in gear, but not the bush hog part.

I don't have a 1500, But look for a lever other than the gear shift lever.. It maybe on the rt or left side... If it has more than 1 speed, Use #1 speed

Left of the seat down low, clutch in and select speed 1 and of you go.

Don't know that the 1500 is setup like the 2000. But push all the way down to shift into 1st. gear. Neutral will be one up then 2,3rd..
