Kubota B2920 Power Beyond Port

   / Kubota B2920 Power Beyond Port #21
Whether the two hose valve can handle the tractor full pressure, I am not sure, but here is what I pulled from the Woods BH-65 manual.

After some research, I am sure now that the OUT port is low pressure.

Excerpt from Woods BH-65.

Note: The backhoe will not function if oil is routed backwards
through the valve. Connect the tractor return
hose (5) to the control valve outlet port.

It says tractor return port, not the 3pt IN port.

If it works, it works, until someone forces full back pressure through the valve.

Further more, I talked to the Woods hyd tech and that BH valve is a low pressure OUT port

If the BH is frame mounted, there is no need for the 3pt anyway. Jusat cap off the 3pt.

For those interested, on the end of the BH valve there is a PB port and available hex screw to make it PB and if you wanted three hoses, you could use this feature and be safe.

If you are not using the 3pt, then use the two hose setup.

If you have the 3pt kit, then you can use the PB hose, return hose and IN hose to raise the BH and use it.

OK, thanks. Now regarding return to tank -- do the rear remote valves have a return to tank line that needs to be plumbed? If so, how did you plumb yours? Also, got any pics?

Yes the remotes need to use PB and tank line. I have pictures on another site but can take some tomorrow for you.

As I have said before, PB hoses go to the next valve IN port, and all OUT ports go to tank/return lines.

Thanks TMGT and JJ.

Regarding the out of the BH65, I believe you are correct JJ. Oddly, the installation instructions for the hydraulics said to interrupt the PB from the loader valve to the 3pt and insert the in and out lines for the backhoe.

I have the instructions. I'll see if I can post them

Here are some pictures of my setup, the BH connections aren't on in the pictures but would just be a QC coupler in the line from the PB on the remotes to the 3pt "hat".

loader valve connection, note the other 90* connectors with the hard lines are to my diverter valve for my grapple, snow plow etc.

The valve is a 8gpm wolverine (Prince).
The original port on the loader valve to the 3pt will now go into the "P" / pressure / IN port on the remote valve.
The "T" / tank/ return port will go to the flex line with hose clamps coming off the bottom of the loader valve, this can be put in with a tee.

And the "O" port ,with the PB plug ( or sleeve depending on your valve) installed will go into the 3pt connection in the "hat".

Terminology for the ports can change with some valve manufacturers.

Hope this helps.

The factory Kubota BH also hooks up the way you have it, guess they figured the odds of someone holding the 3pt lever in the up position while operating the BH valve wasn't probably enough to be a concern.

However to install the Kubota BH65 the 3pt arms are removed to not much reason up the valve.

TMGT

None of your attachments show up. Says invalid.

I believe I am correct in that Woods instructions says to use a tank port on the side of the tractor to dump the BH OUT hose.

The frame mounted BH valve has to be the last valve in the flow path.

In the instructions they sent me, iy shows a picture of the port under the seat slight right.

So they apparently know you should not be using the 3pt with a frame mounted BH and can not in their configuration.

For the 3pt BH setup, they also show the correct port for the PB hose into the 3pt port which will provide full pressure to the 3pt..

The port under the seat slight right at the top is the 3pt pressure IN, which would be the same as the factory hoe hookup.
