3 point hitch won't go down

I own a 2005 new holland tn75a ,the 3 point hitch will not go down with the controll lever.it will go down when you move the little control lever in the back of the tractor. But if the tractor is running as soon as you release it it will raise all the way back up.

There is a knob somewhere on the tractor that controls the rate the 3pt drops at. Make sure the knob is open. On my tractor it is located between your legs a few inches off the floor board.,

the knob is normally located between your legs just below the seat. it controls how fast 3pt hitch raises / lowers. question comes up more times than i want to count and normally resolves issue.

All rate of drop screws on 3 pt hitches I've seen only control decent(lowering speed) but not raising speed

This happen to my TN 55 when it was still on warranty, the dealer said that some linkage got disconnected inside the case. Happen when raising a box blade and the dirt pile forcing it up higher that the lift. Good luck on a low cost fix. The TN 55 does not have a rate knob for the 3pt.

Thanks for the info, I am afraid that's maybe what has happened , because the lever moves a little easier than it use to.

Right in the middle of your legs

You'll see one higher, that's for the seat suspension. Looks further down, there is a knob to adjust down speed for the 3 pt.
