I am surprised that not one person made the comment or asked if the truck was straight pipes. I HATE HATE HATE the sound of most straight pipes. The crackle and back fires just do not sound good/healthy to me.

Love that cowl hood. He make that himself?

I believe my nephew and his sons did the body work and paint, my brother helped with with the engine build as well as taking the truck apart. They specialize in these types of trucks as they are really in demand right now and they travel around the countryside picking up parts and carcasses. This truck won first place at a local show. This build took about a year the best I remember.

My favorite year of truck with the step side. Tell 'em "nice job" from me!

I sure will, the step sides are getting really hard to find, just looks better than the fleetside.

I surmised from your original post that wasn't the case. Otherwise you would know what the complaints were about.

PS I think that you handled the situation well. (A lot more maturely than I would have at your age. :D)

Well if this situation wasnt resolved the way it was last night..and continued on through this week, I was about to take a ride up to my grandparents garage a mile up the road where my father has his old Aspault Late Model race car, load that up on the trailer and bring that down and just park it infront of the house. Really make the neighbors wonder what I was up to  ...Sometimes that would be just enough to make a neighbor come out and talk to me one on one...Just like I believe any neighbor should try and do before calling in a LEO....

It's good that things are back to normal now, to bad the first cop involved didn't take the time to do what the State Trooper did.

Didnt say I was trying to begin with!!

ANYWAYS...THIS JUST HAPPENED....

I was sitting just finishing up dinner, **KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK** on the door, this time a STATE TROOPER instead of local cop....oh here we go with this now I am thinking, I answer the door and step out on my front stoop to talk to him, and all of a sudden out of no where, my 4'9 finance (who never speaks up in any situation) yells from the kitchen "HE HASNT DONE ANYTHING...HES BEEN IN THE HOUSE SINCE HE GOT HOME FROM WORK!!!" me thinking OMG this cop is gonna lose it on me...he just smirked, so he tells me he is here due to a complaint that the house is not well kept, but immediately followed it up with, "I find this not to be true by looking at the house. I explained the whole situation with the truck and what happened. So after I give my big explanation he goes "oh really, hold on a second" goes back to his SUV, gets on the phone, leaves my driveway and goes to a neighbor about 5 houses up the road. Is there for a good half hour and then comes back.

This house belongs to an elderly lady, who lives alone, I believe she has some sort of mind diseases as in Alzheimers or something of the sort because she is one of the people I plowed for over the winter and as I stated in a previous post, I never took any money from any one of my neighbors for doing this, she told another neighbor across the street that I over charged her for doing it, luckily the other neighbor also remembered her telling them how nice it was to plow every ones driveway and not charge anything for it.

So the trooper comes back, in a professional way kinda says to me "boy she is messed up" The women does not remember making the phone and claims that she has never met me before and that I just moved in last week. Obviously that was not true, told him my dog is constantly running through her yard, I dont own a dog. Also as records were looked into of this women calling, I am not the only person this past week she has made complaints of.... So to make the rest of this long story short, this womens family was contacted and let know of what has been going on and is suggested that someone stay with her for a few days to observe any odd behavior from this woman.

I guess this is better than having a neighbor hate me for all this....

So troopers in Pa. answer complaints about people who don't maintain their property? Really hard to believe.

I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't happen in the Carolinas.

In PA, municipalities which do not have their own police force, can contract with the state police to patrol and respond to calls.

Also, I live along a state route...in PA only State Troopers are allowed to have use of radar guns to enforce speeding violations...therefore the only real speeding enforcement is done by State troopers, which means they are in alot of small towns and responding to local calls when needed.....my neighbor in my old community (2 miles up the road) lost his dog..1 day later they called to report it to police...and a state trooper came to file the report....
