The WICKED Root & Debris GRAPPLE!!!!!!!

I did my part to keep American workers employed, just got delivered this week. <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/attachments/437569-wicked-root-debris-grapple-img_3429-1-jpg"/> <img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/files/attachments/437568-wicked-root-debris-grapple-img_3425-jpg"/> This is my 5th attachment from EA, to me this is the perfect model for American manufacturing, direct from the manufacturer to the customer. Excellent customer service and quality.
I'm sure there are many dealers and more traditional manufacturers (like WR Long) who would see the direct to customer model as threatening. They've all seen what Amazon has done to local stores. But I agree that it is ultimately more efficient to cut out the middleman whenever possible. It is simply more efficient and efficiency is good and wins whether in nature or commerce. The combination of Internet, search engines, HTML, Paypal and UPS are simply hard to beat with traditional businesses. Now what EA has to worry about is that CAD systems and other computerized manufacturing don't evolve to the point that a local welding shop can rig up a 3D printing welder and have the new custom implement at your door the next day!!!

I think EA is doing a lot of things right:
Videos to educate the public
Solid engineering
Solid manufacturing
Good customer service
Free freight shipping (Eastern US)

but I doubt Land Pride, Bush Hog, etc are running scared. Most people are more comfortable going to a local dealer and picking out an implement, plus if you are purchasing a tractor chances are you can finance the whole package including the implements.

Agree that dealers benefit from package finance deals even though such deals are generally bad deals for the customer. Still, I recall when Amazon got started that people though customers would want to browse bookshelves before making a purchase. Turns out that online reviews and chatter are often more than enough to make up for ill informed or biased salesmen and that the whole culture of online shopping has proven to be very popular. The percentage of automobiles and tools purchased online has gone way up in the past ten years and I imagine other large durable items will follow.

EA is in a good position now. It will be interesting to see how they adapt or take advantage of new trends and options in equipment sales.

Looks great, and you should have plenty of lift capacity on reserve with that gem!!

We appreciate all the business!

Thanks for the kind words guys! We're in it to profit like anyone, but we understand our customers, know that they're the reason we're here and really want to do what's best for them.

We've sold/shipped plenty of attachments, Wicked Grapples especially, to dealers across the US and Canada. Dealers simply do not have anything that stacks up.
All you regulars on here know better, but I hate to hear about those poor customers that put these heavy a** grapples on their compact tractors based on dealer recommendations.

What size is that? I'm quickly becoming convinced that I need a gapple on my little compact tractor, but I'm still working out what size I'd order.

If your tractor is less than 40 hp, the EA 50" single top would be great. I think EA says 35hp max but unless the tractor is very heavy or has more than 2000lb lift then there shouldn't be an issue. They use horsepower as a limiting factor for simplicity but in reality tractor weight and loader capacity are more relevant. Anything Kubota or JD under 40hp for example is basically a light tractor and simply is not going to overpower EA's smallest grapple.

If I recall correctly the next size up is the new ?54" single which adds weight and cost but buys you a bigger opening dimension. Tough choice if you have 1500lbs lift or more but with lift capacity closer to 1000lbs I'd err on the side of preserving net lift capacity and get
the smaller grapple.

Just remember the three golden rules of grapple purchase:
1) any grapple is better than no grapple
2) everybody loves whichever grapple they have
3) nobody ever wishes for a bigger grapple after they buy small.

Island provided a great explanation. To put it simpler, hwatkins' grapple is a 50" and it is also the perfect grapple for you: Everything Attachments Compact Wicked Root Grapple 50"
We'll put the JD hitch on it for no extra. Actually, the photos on our website show it with the JDQA.

To add, the Bobcat CT122 in the video is within 100 pounds of your tractor's weight. https://youtu.be/wDbotIdZn_U
