Tell him the price from the other dealer and ask him to meet you half way

Under $1,500 for the BH15 is a good deal around here. There is an old Bush Hog dealer that has old stock for $1,200 . It is the Squealer version. He has one left. Bush Hog is like GM. They have a lowest price sell mark. I really don't know what that is but I think I got close. Like I said before I am good to go with the BH15.

If I was close to that dealer I'd buy that Squealer. Just too far away being I'm in Louisiana.

As mentioned, either cutter is good, but lower end lighter models. But still quite a step up from tsc or other cheap cutters.

In a light cutter like that, I would look at blade speed. Higher is better cutting grasses. I'd look em up, but would be a PITA on my phone

I'm seeing 2 different designs in photos of the BH15 where the tractor's toplink hooks to. Does anybody know the later design and if it's better than the previous? Still deciding on a dealer. Thanks

Forgot to mention I've had 3 different Squealers in past years and they all were excellent. Only changed 1 seal on 1 gear box.

I currently have a Bush Hog 285 in almost mint condition. It's for sale.

I bought the BH15 last year. I think the two different styles you see is that one is quick hitch compatible, the standard hitch isn't. I made sure to specify the quick hitch model when they ordered it. I wanted the sheer pin because I don't want to maintain a slip clutch on a mower as I can't store it inside. I do have the slip clutch on my tiller, but it's small enough I can find room in the garage. They made a mistake on the order and I ended up getting a slip clutch for a steal.

Going in the morning to buy the BH15 from the out of state dealer. The salesman was the nicest of the 9 different dealers I talked to on the phone. I wouldn't have had a problem buying from the local dealer either but I got a 2015 model cheaper than a 2014 model locally.
