Rotary Cutter Buying New Rotary Cutter

Got to use the cutter for a couple hours today. I'm well pleased with the build quality but the discharge SUCKS! Gonna take the rear band off and see if that'll help. Something has to be done. But the quality of the mower is perfect in my opinion.
I have rear chains on my BH16 big difference in discharge.

If you remove the guards (and even if you don't). Just make sure no one is following behind it. Make sure no kids are following you! The tips of those blades are going incredibly fast and debris will leave at deadly speeds.

That's an optical illusion. As the 3pt. is raised it has a up and forward travel motion. That is lowered so I can store it in the garage. No pole barn here yet. When I am in actual use the ROPS is always in the vertical position.

For best cutting and discharge, leave the tailwheel set so that the rear of the deck is 1/2" to 1" higher than the front (3/4" is best). But you probably already knew this from the owner's manual?

Yes I already knew but it seems as if the rear band in completely in the way of the grass discharge. I hope by removing it will help. I will know this evening and post back. I'll take a couple pics.

I also didn't get the 2 chains for the PTO shaft guards. Salesman said he had 9 more BH10 series hogs and they didn't have chains and that he didn't know why.
Anybody else out there who didn't receive the chains?

Got front chain. That's all you need with the model I bought. Hey Travis I have not had any problems with the back guard on as far as discharge. These blades are moving so fast that everything I have cut tears to shreds. The guard has saved some things as it has caught chains rocks and tree limbs . They bang around a little and then get layed out. I f there were no guards it could have been a **** of a mess . I cut some close quarter surrounding and the guards help a lot.

If it don't make much of a difference I'll put the rear band back on. Seems like the grass clippings are staying under the mower and getting mulched instead of being discharged.
