I saw a glimpse of this field in the morning from the Amtrak window but I was too slow with a camera. On the afternoon trip I was ready but the lighting was poor.

There is a grid in the field with the pallets. Here are the three best photos.

The field is immediately south of Winlock WA.

Grid in field

Are they spreading from NJ? Or was this field earlier?

The first wave came ashore in New Jersey. Now they're landing on the left coast. It's time to call in the drones.

I think a wave came in from China.

Good eye, Bruce!

Have you alerted and forwarded your photos to the Palletology Dept. of your closest University?

So many questions come to mind... I'm sure that there is a government research grant in this discovery!

FYI, there is a grammatical error in the Wikipedia entry for Winlock. Contrary to the heading "Points of Interest," there is only one point of interest:

The Winlock Egg was listed as the world's largest egg by Ripley's Believe It Or Not in 1989.

Apparently, Winlock's glory days have passed -- it has failed to keep pace in the Big Egg Battle (Big Egg Battle).

That's not an egg...it's a lemon painted white.

So what is the facebook comment about "trials"... dog trials? Have we solved this thing? Why the heck do people stack these stupid pallets into a inverted V? Why do people put pallets in their fields.? These are the burning questions. Eggs notwithstanding.. Where is Sparc when you need him?

Sparc? That layabout, idler, loafer, slacker, lazybones, lounger, flaneur, shirker, sluggard, laggard, slugabed, malingerer, good-for-nothing, lazybones, couch potato, wastrel. We can't depend on him for anything.

Although I am skeptical about whether there is any linkage between the NJ and WA formations, it is incumbent on Bruce (the OP) to make his way to Winrock ASAP in order to make discreet inquiries.

Amen, Steve, on that rascal Sparc! The location of his initial sighting remains a mystery to this day due to his follow-up negligence... the embodiment of a lolly-gagger if ever there was.

Mind you, if Bruce (the OP) does conduct a cautious investigation and comes to a nefarious end... perhaps we were a wee bit harsh on ol'Sparc. <sigh> Oh, well, there's nothing for it but for Bruce (the OP) to enter unto the breach!

“Ours is not to reason why; just invert and multiply.”

I used to attribute that to math, but now I think its how aliens populate other worlds....

I'm taking no chances. There is a loaded pallet breaker always within reach.
