Totally dead tractor - mid-PTO symbol on - no mid-PTO

Can you say maddening? Same thing happened to my L3430 and I guarantee it has no mid PTO. Mowing the field, climb a hill and wham! Shuts down and the mid-PTO light glows brightly. Worse place to be stuck too. I had to walk the walk of shame to the computer just to see what the light meant. Seemed like it was a low oil light. Found this discussion, replaced the whopping 5amp fuse and back in business. Now off to buy more 5 amp fuses.

I too have fell victim to this sneaky little fuse on my L4330. While scraping some dirt in my new pond before I fill it the tractor just went completely dead. I scratched my head for quite some time trying to figure out why the Mid PTO light came on when I don't have one. It wasn't until I found this post that I was able to get it back up and running and get it out of the bottom of the pond before the rains start. Thanks

Well,
I apparently spoke too soon. I blew about 6 of these fuses over the weekend while trying to auger my posts in for a dock. Guess I'll have to start chasing out wires and look for a short somewhere?

L3130 no mid pto, same story. Contacted my service center to trouble shot, and learned a lot of new tricks to get it running. But only here did I find the correct answer. Replace the fuse undid all 3 go around runs like new.... And passed the word on to my kubota service center so the next guy can get to working faster. Thank you for the help

Forgot to post the solution. I started looking around chasing wires and found that I had a very small nick in one of the wires under/behind my seat. It had a bunch of sticks and leaves around it and once I cleaned it out I could see that my machete I keep behind the seat had been pushing down on the wire and eventually wore the shielding a little. I do mean a little. I had to really look for it and would have never thought that could have been the problem but once I put some electrical tape on it I have been rolling for a few weeks now with no problem.
