What is your plan for that edge of the pavers? They make paver edging that bolsters up against the edge and gets spiked into the
ground.. or you could build a small wall to shore it up...

Hi Dutch... exactly what I am planning to do. My 'problem' is that I want to get a poured wall on the cliff side then spike an edge and finish paving about two feet from that border for a small hedge. On the other side (green house) I want to put in a water feature using the blocks and I am just not there yet. For the 'entrance' (where I drove the tractor in I plan about a 4ft threshold and will use the edger material to separate the gravel driveway from the patio. So, I guess the real story is that I started building this thing before I was completely ready. :ashamed:

Sounds like you're taking a big picture plan and getting through it one bite at a time...I've done a number of projects in a similar fashion, where there is a "big picture" plan, but for now we have the resources for step 3 and 5...some time later, 1 and 4 get done, then 2. As long as there is a certain amount of flexibility in the plan to account for changing project specs, found materials, cool things stumbled upon along the way, and the odd piece of immovable ledge right in the middle, you usually end up coming out pretty good along the way.

G, you pegged me! Kind of in the spirit of the the A-Team... "Sometimes a plan just comes together!"
