Off Topic--Problem With Drain Vent On Lavatory Sink

Its stinky stuff for sure. I cut into a drain line to tie my kitchen into and a nice blob of grey goo plopped down 7' onto my shoes and went splat over to the wall.

Some of the older plumbers will agree with me, but I think cutting out an old drum trap (overhead) has to be the worst. You almost need a slicker suit on to keep that black nasty crap of yourself. And yes it stinks.

Just think.. I get to play in this stuff & worse every day :licking: If U lived closer, I would hire U.. I'm going to give this stuff up B-4 long... I'm ready for retirement:cool2:

Good for you. (retirement)
When I was plumbing full time we did very little repair work. Mostly new construction, so the smell had not developed yet. :laughing:

I intend to sell out in a yr or 2... Did some new const. not a lot.. Builders want the cheapest HVAC & plumbing they can get..I can make more $$$ repairing plumbing & HAVC repairs & change outs than I can new const. Plus,,here, The housing market is still isn't what it once was
