Has anybody tried the Hi Point handguns?

After you shoot the first one the rest of them will probably remember they had important business elsewhere regardless of how many shots you have left. The Pythons are a sweet gun, but it's accuracy was a let down. My $800 smith shoots better.

Yep love my 686plus... by the math here, I can take on 8 guys.

Model 19 with 6" barrel here. If you cant hit them it will sure scare them to death when it goes off.

Mine are literally, deadly accurate.. Probably my most accurate revolvers, python and anaconda.

My dad has both. They are without a doubt extremely nice, but we both shoot the other revolvers better. The best shooting revolver I have ever shot was a Freedom Arms 454 casull. If you are trying to scare someone to death the 454 casull will certainly do the job. A 44 mag snub nose is pretty good too.

Reminds me of another gun from the late 70's COP357

it was a stainless steel 4 shot 357 'derrenger', flip top , 4 bbls, rotating firing pin... looked like a semi auto.

it was very heavy.. I'm thinking nearly 2# and only 4 shots... The old joke was it was good for 5 badguys. 1-2-3-4 then you throw the gun at the 5th guy and brain him with it.

I think if I have to carry a wheel gun, it's going to have to be 357, and then it would have to be a 6" python, royal blue of course.

This will be my next big revolver.

Not quite as powerful as a .357, but that extra round could make up for it.
I had a 686 stainless until things got tight (somebody wasn't paying their bills, so I had to sell to pay mine. )

This year though I'll pick up the HiPoint, which will allow me to also replace my Mark II stainless that I sold during the above mentioned tight spot.

I have the Hi-Point 45 and it's what I call my woods gun. It's not something you wonna carry everyday,I have a LC9 I CHL with but I have the 45 with me every time I go stomping around in the woods and have shot a many wild hogs with it. I have never had any issues with it and trust it to work when I need it. For the price it is a very dependable gun,bulky but it has it's place. I also bought the 40 for my brother,there just for the price hard to beat.
