A lot of not so very good advice in the last few posts. Stooping to their level is not the thing to do and will get you in trouble. But, in one of those posts some anti-bark devices were mentioned, and that might actually work. We put a anti-bark collar on a dog we had when it was barking at deer in the middle of the night, and it actually worked. I don't know if they make one that would do a whole yard area but I would look into it. I would get one that would only work when they barked, not one that worked all the time.

I would put an electric fence on the property line, with at least 3 strands spaced such that they could not reach over to do anything to your fence. Then I would extend the nice fence as long as you would like.

anyone know if those bark repellents work even on kenneled dogs? we frequently keep a neighbors dog ( next door ) and sometimes it likes to bark inthe middle of the night.......

I'm not sure if any of the devices you buy actually work. I tried one and it did nothing. I sorta like BigBoysToys idea though.

I used a similiar MP3 setup for a call box. It had plenty of volume and range. A little harder to test with sounds we can't hear but I'm sure it would work. Even though the MP3 tracks are short you can have the MP3 player set to "repeat" tracks. Just turn it on if they start barking when you're outside working. If you want to get really creative setup a dual system, one speaker for the dogs and the other can handle the "Heavy Metal" for the annoying neighbors!
