How long did YOUR freezer last?

Mine is older than old and still working. Was my wifes grandparents freezer.

Chest freezers around here, never die. They get repurposed into feed chests for animal feed. Keeps the rodents out

The best re-purpose of a big old chest freezer I've seen was going down the road as a utility trailer... someone had put and axle on it and trailer tongue... he used it for a job box to keep his tools.

That's a cool idea.

The upright freezer a lady gave to me for scrap would actually make a good tool box.

I could actually mount it to the tongue of my trailer and store chains, and other tools in it. Might just do that. Especially with the way scrap prices are now.

There's a pickup truck that drives around this area with a chest freezer in the back and he sells meat and fish out of it in the summer.....

My Grandmother had an ancient chest freezer with several small lids all hinged in the middle... us kids new this is where she kept the popsicles and ice cream bars.

One day it was gone... ;-(

Said she was getting a new Amana Freezer and that was in 1967 and that Freezer lives on and the reason my parents got an identical one in 1968 as a Christmas gift...
