Is this something that should happen when key is in 'ON' position but engine not yet engaged, or is it something you do once in a while to confirm the light works?the simple grounding test shows the warning light is functional.
I'm thankful to have my oil gauge (though I wish I could do the install in the dash over) My oil light is pretty flaky (new one on the way from Hoye) but with the gauge I can tell that things are fine. I do see variations in pressure from about 60psi when cold down to about 20psi when really lugging down. Not sure what that means, but if I remember correctly, the light shouldn't come on until it gets down about 5psi.
