After cleaning up the battery compartment and repainting damage caused by a leaking battery, I installed an OPTIMA Red Top.
Could up explain the damage that occurred from the battery leaking this is the point I was making thank you

I had no damage other than severe corrosion to the battery compartment area. I went through the process twice before buying the OPTIMA.

I must miss read your reply I thought you said repaired Damage and repainted area sorry I will be spending the money on a new battery to thanks again

Double check your charging voltage. If the voltage is too high the battery will "Boil" and leak acid. Charge voltage should be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts.

Second that. My battery is over 10 years old and so far is leak free and started the tractor every single time.

Voltage greater than 14.2V will boil the battery. The best voltage is 14V when engine is reved up to about 2000 or more rpm. If the voltage is 14V and it is still boiling then the battery has bad cell.
