Good Morning Jim Going to cook a Road Runner for Thanks giving this year.?
Maybe a trip to grocery store for a side of dish turnips. that soil of Arizona doesn't grow much.
Sounds like your problems have been less and smaller this year. Although lack of water soon grows to be a big problem. Maybe neighbors need to learn who is doing the well repairs. cash in advance from all before valve is turned on sure makes the money start to flow also.
All the vehicles running about normal?
Going to have 2 G-Children and Daughter coming for dinner .
So will be a smaller quieter group. (pecan pies uneaten will be taken back home). we will get to keep the bird carcass. situation normal again.
Happy Thanksgiving
ken
Running water was enough Thanksgiving.

Hi Ken & all,
Think you may be tired of hearing about the well & big hole.
So I will tell you how NOT to get off a horse.
Was riding across a pasture, A whirl wind whipped up a hunk of tin & cut "Jeep" ( A very tall horse) on the nose.
Next thing I knew was landing on my head & shoulder. Lucky it was in fairly soft sand.
About 4 years old was riding A Shetland with a girl behind me. rode across an old board laying on the ground. Almost instantly her & I were sitting on the board.
Had an old horse named "Bum", Never bucked in his life. Had a friend on behind me. As we rode across a vacant lot, with a dead tree on it. My friend grabbed a dead branch, when it snapped Old Bum unloaded us. Then just stood there & looked at us, almost like he was grinning..
At KP Seneca the family rode down to where there was enough water to fish. The trail had a spot where the horse & mules had to jump up about 2.5 feet. I was riding mule " Susy-Q" . When she jumped up the bad spot, the cinch broke.
There I sat in the middle of the trail. Still in the saddle, hand out like I was holding the reins.
A different story. just dad & I were there. Doctor Reniy & a friend came hunting. Friend not much of a hunter, but a big on fly fishing. He & I went fishing on a stream a bit bigger than the KP creek. He said if I could catch more fish than he did, he would buy me a brand new saddle. Found a nice spot to start & he says you fish up stream & he would go down stream. In my mind I could see that new saddle. He was not only going down stream, Lots of brush. An hour or 2 later we met back where we left the horses. I had a good day, caught 9 nice trout. I can almost taste that new saddle. Dreams dashed, he had caught 29.
He later on tought me a lot about casting & fly fishing.
Really A nice guy, he sent A 35 Remington auto loader.
Ah the good ole days,
Jim
