Watched that video & a few more. Kind a fun & some of it very true. If you don't want to cry, don't listen to the "old Shep" vider.

Washer just spins slowly in 1 direction. May try to get it fixed. Or find a good used one.

Called bank about a small loan. Credit score is "ZERO". Guess that is about as low as it can go??? Have not heard back yet. Everything paid for, not needed credit for 10 / 11 years.

Well man to be here around 9 AM. Maybe if we just get a tank me & new neighbor can install it?? 4 People use well, 4 are suppose to pay. 1 in CA, 1 says she broke, new neighbor should be OK. Has job driving train. But gone 5 days at a time. If I have to pay whole bill, no water for anyone till they pay.

Got beer, tomilies, some wine, & propane should be enough for most any 1.

More later
Jim

Subject: community wells. When I bought my place there was me and 2 others on the well. I soon became the unpaid well fixer...then not only the unpaid one but aslo expected to pay all the fix-it bills. 15 years later I had a well drilled on my place. Got 24gpm at 60 ft.

Yep That's the way it has been here for a dozen years or so. Countless hours $300 maoy be &400, a few hundred miles driven.

Merry Thanks Giving to all.

My TG Celebration, with luck, will be running water.
Yesterday a day of frustration. If it could go wrong it did. Ground wires coming loose, crimping onto insulation in 1 case, wiring things wrong, on & on.
That was install 110 volt circuit.

Today started off much the same, circuit breaker popped out place, also had loose connections. If that wasn't enough. at some point in it's it had popped & was stuck in the tripped position. Replace it & the magic happened. Pretty music as the angle grinder came to life. Grind out split & drill for self tapping screws. Drill out split in 5 places. Take alum. sheet to match drilled holes. Butter split with metal weld, butter plate & screw it down over the epoxy. Tommorow afternoon it will have 24+ hours to harden. Turn water pressure down to about 35psi. & hope it holds.

More later, Jim

Good Morning Jim Going to cook a Road Runner for Thanks giving this year.?
Maybe a trip to grocery store for a side of dish turnips. that soil of Arizona doesn't grow much.

Sounds like your problems have been less and smaller this year. Although lack of water soon grows to be a big problem. Maybe neighbors need to learn who is doing the well repairs. cash in advance from all before valve is turned on sure makes the money start to flow also.

All the vehicles running about normal?

Going to have 2 G-Children and Daughter coming for dinner .
So will be a smaller quieter group. (pecan pies uneaten will be taken back home). we will get to keep the bird carcass. situation normal again.

Happy Thanksgiving

Running water was enough Thanksgiving.

Winter may be hare. 29 2 nights in a row. A couple more too go.

Hi Ken & all,
Think you may be tired of hearing about the well & big hole.

So I will tell you how NOT to get off a horse.
Was riding across a pasture, A whirl wind whipped up a hunk of tin & cut "Jeep" ( A very tall horse) on the nose.
Next thing I knew was landing on my head & shoulder. Lucky it was in fairly soft sand.
About 4 years old was riding A Shetland with a girl behind me. rode across an old board laying on the ground. Almost instantly her & I were sitting on the board.
Had an old horse named "Bum", Never bucked in his life. Had a friend on behind me. As we rode across a vacant lot, with a dead tree on it. My friend grabbed a dead branch, when it snapped Old Bum unloaded us. Then just stood there & looked at us, almost like he was grinning..:D
At KP Seneca the family rode down to where there was enough water to fish. The trail had a spot where the horse & mules had to jump up about 2.5 feet. I was riding mule " Susy-Q" . When she jumped up the bad spot, the cinch broke.
There I sat in the middle of the trail. Still in the saddle, hand out like I was holding the reins.

A different story. just dad & I were there. Doctor Reniy & a friend came hunting. Friend not much of a hunter, but a big on fly fishing. He & I went fishing on a stream a bit bigger than the KP creek. He said if I could catch more fish than he did, he would buy me a brand new saddle. Found a nice spot to start & he says you fish up stream & he would go down stream. In my mind I could see that new saddle. He was not only going down stream, Lots of brush. An hour or 2 later we met back where we left the horses. I had a good day, caught 9 nice trout. I can almost taste that new saddle. Dreams dashed, he had caught 29.
He later on tought me a lot about casting & fly fishing.
Really A nice guy, he sent A 35 Remington auto loader.

Ah the good ole days,
Jim

Crash... gonna be time for a xmas story soon.

Not too many good Christmas stories. Pretty much ignored these days.

Think these pictures are from the Christmas that I smoked a ham ^ turkey. Cody talked about this not long ago.
"Best turkey I ever had". Yes folks it was very good.

Here is a picture of a fine Christmas tree.

Merry holidays to all of you & happy Christmas.

A short warm spell. Today 70.

May buy a nice steak for Christmas. If I can get to town without dogs may have a sit down "prime rib".

Some of you please answer questions about what you would like to hear about.

Like to hear about any of your early years adventures.

Did you ever recover any of your loss from neighbors ?

Always enjoy your stories (even if I don't make a comment) !
