We are not even allowed to have a firearm ready for use! Has to be locked away with ammo in a seperate locked location! One .22 shell lying in with your change on your dresser could be construed as unsafe storage of ammunition! Failure to comply could result in heavy fines and being banned from owning firearms!

Maybe I need to sleep with an electric chainsaw next to the bed! Surprise can be your best weapon. Something like Shock and Awe!

In the situation you describe that chainsaw idea might be the best option!

The more people carrying CCW the more accidents or incidents will happen... it is just statistics.

The guys I know that teach CCW classes shake their heads all the time about students lack of gun skills but especially their lack of knowledge around the use of deadly force. The deadly force issue is why they strongly recommend so much training time.

Looks like my TV is going to get in the way of getting the AR for my wife. Our Samsung LED tv now has a band of lines running up the screen just off to the side of being in the middle of the screen. It's still watchable, but the lines are very annoying.

I've read a ton of articles about this, and it appears to be fairly common. Some guys have been able to fix it by taking off the back panel, taking off all the cables, and then putting them back on. Others have spent hundreds on new parts without any improvement. It's not just Samsung, but that's where my search has been. Without telling her what I was going to get her for Christmas, she said that we need to not spend any money on stuff we really don't need, and to just get a new TV instead.

I'll probably wait until after Christmas, that seems to be when the best sales happen. It just depends on those lines and how much worse they get.

Build it yourself. Buy it a piece at a time. Lower receiver $139 ish. Upper 79 bucks. In a piece here a piece there and in a year you have the whole thing.
